The Senior Executive Sourcer will develop and scale innovative sourcing strategies to identify and engage top-tier executive talent for Dropbox's leadership roles, influencing talent pipeline strategies across various functions.
Role Description
Executive Recruiting is a specialized team within Dropbox’s Global Recruiting Organization, focused on building world-class leadership talent strategies. As an Executive Sourcer, you will play a critical role in identifying, engaging, and cultivating top-tier executive-level talent across all functional areas, including but not limited to Engineering, Product, Design, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and People teams.
This is a high-impact opportunity to develop and scale innovative sourcing strategies, partner with senior stakeholders, and build strong talent pipelines that directly influence Dropbox’s ability to deliver on its mission of designing a more enlightened way of working.
Responsibilities- Design and execute targeted sourcing strategies for Director and VP-level roles across all corporate and technical functions.
- Partner closely with Executive Recruiters and hiring leaders to conduct kickoff meetings, define job and candidate profiles, and qualify and present executive talent.
- Research and map industries and companies to identify key leadership talent; drive outreach through passive sourcing, competitive intelligence, and targeted engagement.
- Build and maintain a diverse, long-term pipeline of potential executive candidates aligned to Dropbox’s future talent needs.
- Develop relationships with passive and active candidates, ensuring a high-touch, personalized, and values-aligned experience throughout.
- Track and report on sourcing progress, talent market trends, and candidate feedback to executive stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Employer Brand, People Analytics, and Business Leaders to continually optimize sourcing approaches.
- At least 5 years of experience in sourcing and/or executive recruiting, either in-house or with an executive search firm
- Proven track record of identifying and engaging passive senior leadership talent (Manager+ and above) across multiple corporate functions
- Ability to translate business needs into search strategies and market-informed talent profiles
- Strong data orientation; experience using insights and reporting to influence decisions and refine sourcing tactics
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Ability to operate independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Proficiency in integrating AI tools into sourcing workflows, with a strong preference for candidates who proactively leverage AI to streamline research, engagement, and talent intelligence gathering
- Demonstrated ability to approach the candidate journey as a product, applying product management principles (e.g., journey mapping, prioritization, stakeholder alignment) to optimize executive search and engagement strategies
- Familiarity with design thinking methodologies to deeply understand candidate and stakeholder needs, prototype sourcing solutions, and iterate based on data to enhance outreach effectiveness and experience quality
- Experience in both in-house corporate and executive search firm environments (a mix is ideal, but either is acceptable)
- Proven success sourcing at Director and VP levels across multiple functions
- Background in fast-paced or “building” environments, with a track record of establishing new processes in collaboration with recruiting partners
- Strong proficiency in reporting and talent analytics to inform strategy and drive decisions
Canada Pay Range
$132,600—$179,400 CAD
