Want to help us help others? We’re hiring!

GoFundMe is the world’s most powerful community for good, dedicated to helping people help each other. By uniting individuals and nonprofits in one place, GoFundMe makes it easy and safe for people to ask for help and support causes—for themselves and each other. Together, our community has raised more than $40 billion since 2010.

Join us! The GoFundMe team is searching for our Senior Events Content Manager. We're seeking a highly organized, creative, and strategic content leader to own and drive content strategy across our community and events portfolio - brand events, field events, community engagements, and our flagship conference, Collaborative. You'll be the connective tissue between event strategy and the content that makes each experience resonate: from keynote narratives and session abstracts to speaker prep materials and post-event assets.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, event programming, and project management - and who can translate complex, mission-driven themes into compelling, action-oriented content for diverse audiences.

The Job

Content Strategy & Programming

  • Define content themes, messaging frameworks, and programming strategies for all events - brand, field, and community.
  • Lead end-to-end content strategy and execution for Collaborative, GoFundMe's flagship conference, ensuring alignment with business goals, brand voice, and audience needs.
  • Shape and sequence agendas, keynotes, breakouts, and ancillary sessions in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and submit session proposals - including topic briefs, speaker rationale, and learning objectives that ladder up to overall event strategy and programming goals.
  • Integrate product positioning and key messaging seamlessly into event content — ensuring every session earns its place on the agenda.
  • Identify, pitch, and secure keynote and featured speakers, managing outreach from prospecting through confirmation; build a long-term speaker pipeline.
  • Leverage audience data, post-event feedback, and engagement metrics to continuously refine content strategy and session effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Communications and Product Marketing teams on overarching themes, story development, and message consistency across channels.
Content Development & Writing
  • Write and edit content for speaking sessions, executive presentations, panel discussions, and event programming materials.
  • Co-create and refine content with customers, external speakers, and internal leaders - translating complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Develop speaker preparation materials including briefing documents, rehearsal guides, and "Know Before You Go" resources.
  • Produce event marketing content - email campaigns, landing pages, session descriptions, social copy - in partnership with broader marketing teams.
Project Management
  • Build and maintain content templates and toolkits that scale across a growing events calendar.
  • Project & Workflow Management
  • Own and manage content schedules to ensure all deliverables and assets are completed on time.
  • Maintain a structured, documented process for content reviews, approvals, and version control.
  • Track key performance indicators (attendance, evaluations, NPS, session ratings) and share insights with stakeholders to inform future programming.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Comms, Marketing, Product, Sales, and Customer Success to align event content with business goals.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers, thought leaders, and external speakers to deliver impactful event experiences.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to internal leaders preparing for keynotes or executive presentations.

You

  • 5–7 years of experience in content strategy, event content management, or related fields (B2B marketing, brand storytelling, or corporate communications).
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience developing content for large-scale conferences, executive presentations, or multi-format event programs.
  • Strong project management skills with proven success in managing multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
  • Experience developing content for conferences, executive presentations, or large-scale events.
  • Experience working within the nonprofit and/or social sector, with an understanding of the unique needs and perspectives of mission-driven organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect content strategies to sales and marketing goals.
  • Skilled in creating and editing presentations (PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined.
Preferred
  • Familiarity with event production and audience engagement strategies.
  • Experience with content marketing platforms and project management tools (ClickUp).
