Enhanced Compliance Analyst, Senior
North - Remote (EST or CST)
The Enhanced Compliance Analyst, Senior is responsible for reviewing systematic Anti-Money-Laundering (AML) alerts and conducting EDD reviews and making decisions regarding high-risk merchants. This role will also be responsible for completing monthly reporting to stakeholders and sponsor banks. The EDD Analyst may also assist with projects and responsibilities as designed by the BSA Officer.
What you'll do:
- Conduct independent reviews and decisioning regarding Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) investigative/intelligence research of individuals, entities, and/or events related to current or prospective customers through public records, open-source media, vendor systems, or other research tools to include OFAC, negative news, and Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) in compliance with regulatory guidance and internal policies and procedures.
- Decision, document and retain daily OFAC, negative news and PEP alerts. Maintains a central database of all OFAC, PEP and Negative news pre-screening and analysis of customer account activity to assist the EDD process.
- Maintain and update EDD database for reporting and tracking work flow and efficiencies.
- Special projects as assigned by leadership.
What we need from you:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 4 or more years’ experience in EDD investigations and decision making
- Ability to research, analyze and compile data.
- Prior research using risk analyst tools such as Lexis/Nexis, Westlaw, etc.
- Strong desire and willingness to learn, proactively maintaining awareness of policies and procedures while complying with Regulatory requirements
- Ability to analyze large volumes of data and information for relevance against established criteria
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (This role works heavily with creating reports to make data easily viewed by stakeholders)
- Excellent research and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Accuracy, diligence, and the ability to deliver high quality results within tight deadlines with a good sense of risk awareness.
- Self-motivated, team player able to meet required time-lines and a strong sense of accountability.
How to stand out:
- CAMS certification preferred.
