Workplace Technologies is leading a multi-year transformation initiative to modernize Vanguard’s core Full-Service Recordkeeping system. The Code Conversion Program is transitioning legacy mainframe code and infrastructure to a scalable, cloud-native AWS platform. This modernization effort is critical to enabling faster innovation, improving system resilience, and supporting the evolving needs of our clients.

As an IT Delivery Manager, you will drive a key workstream within this strategic program, partnering with Deloitte and internal stakeholders. You will lead delivery through the modernization phase and transition into a product ownership role as the program evolves into a product-centric model in 2026.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of a multi year large scale workstream within the Code Conversion Program.

  • Partner with Deloitte consultants and internal engineering teams to ensure successful migration from mainframe to AWS.

  • Manage cross-functional teams and coordinate delivery across technology and business stakeholders.

  • Oversee planning, execution, and tracking of program milestones, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication across Workplace Full-Service business units.

  • Collaborate with Senior Product Owners to make tradeoffs and decisions and manage technical dependencies within and across product families.

  • Navigate SOW (Statement of Work) dynamics with attention to detail during the approval process.

  • Highlight and escalate risks proactively to ensure timely resolution and maintain program momentum.

  • Transition program workstream into a long-term product ownership model post-modernization.

Required:

  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in project and program management for large-scale technology initiatives.

  • Strong background in technical delivery, especially in cloud migration and modernization.

  • Working knowledge of legacy mainframe systems and AWS cloud architecture.

  • Deep understanding of Workplace Full-Service business operations is strongly desired.

  • Exceptional stakeholder and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence across business and technology teams.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with external consulting partners and 3rd party solutions.

  • Familiarity with automated testing, cloud-native monitoring tools, and enterprise architecture alignment.

  • Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and drive consensus.
