We’re hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team focused on evolving the Apollo platform through world-class developer tooling, new platform capabilities, and emerging areas of innovation. This is a high-impact leadership role with broad scope across Apollo’s core products, with the opportunity to shape the future of how developers work with graphs.
What You'll Do
- Manage and coach a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and aligning their work to the organization’s long-term vision.
- Drive execution by scoping, prioritizing, and allocating resources to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions to both internal and external users.
- Lead teams through ambiguity and change by providing clear direction, fostering alignment, and evolving team charters to meet business needs.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture grounded in trust, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Partner closely with product, design, and engineering leadership to define roadmaps, shape technical direction, and deliver robust, reliable platform capabilities.
- Champion excellence in usability, quality, and performance across the systems and tools your team builds.
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative team environment based on trust, autonomy, and psychological safety.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to define hiring strategies, and actively attract and retain top engineering talent.
- Contribute to the team’s operational health, with lightweight on-call responsibilities as needed.
