Telecommuting:          Employee may be able to telecommute, but the employee must remain living within a commutable distance of the Fort Mill, SC LPL office location and report to that office regularly.

JOB DUTIES: Designs, develops, tests, and maintains platforms and their integration with other systems in collaboration with the Development, Enterprise Architecture, and Support teams. Assess opportunities for application and process improvements and prepares documentation outlining platform road maps. Documents solution architecture and design using Lucidchart and presents it to stakeholders. Maintains, troubleshoots, optimizes, and enhances existing systems. Collaborates with the Quality Assurance and DevOPS teams to adopt continuous integration/ continuous delivery (Cl/CD) tool chain and develops automation using Github Actions, Teamcity and Octopus Deploy. Ensures high quality code production using SonarQube and Polaris. Communicates with technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis as part of product/project support. Designs and develops core services and components by delivering expertise in service-oriented architecture, design patterns and coding best practices. Mentors junior developers and helps them deliver high quality software products.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years as a Senior Engineer, Software Developer (or a closely related occupation) programming software architecture using C# .Net, integrating .net applications, and services with middleware technologies, and cloud computing and containerization platforms.

Alternatively, Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and three (3) year of experience as a Senior Engineer, Software Developer (or a closely related occupation) programming software architecture using C# .Net, integrating .net applications, and services with middleware technologies, and cloud computing and containerization platforms.

Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section):

  • Demonstrated Expertise (DE) translating business problem statements into technical solutions, documenting problem statements and solutions into different architectural views -- use case view and data view – using Lucidchart or Mirosoft Visio; and developing all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) -- requirement gathering, architecture definition, highlevel and detailed design, development, testing support , production deployment, and maintenance of software platforms and products (software services, middleware platforms, and databases);

  • DE designing and developing software services that follow architectural approaches -- microservices, EDA, and REST -- using Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft .Net framework, and C#, and integrating with applications, services, and relational databases -- Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server;

  • DE designing and developing middleware solutions using integration platforms -- Mulesoft, Microsoft BizTalk server, Kafka, and Solace; designing and developing container based solutions using containerization technologies -- Docker, Kubernetes, and Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF); and designing, building and maintaining sustainable and scalable capabilities that support delivery of software products;

  • DE in software design and development principles, patterns, and best practices -- SOLID, clean architecture, clean coding and Test Driven Development (TDD); working in an agile team, following Agile software development methodologies -- Scrum and Kanban; developing technical documentation in accordance with the SDLC guidelines; and using DevOps tools -- Jenkins, Teamcity, Udeploy, GitHub, and SonarQube.


 

Pay Range:

$156,000 – $166,000
 
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
