The Senior Email Experience will be responsible for email development, troubleshooting, and QA. Currently transitioning from Salesforce Marketing Cloud to Adobe Journey Optimizer, requiring strong expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and/or Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) at a senior level. Responsibilities include building email campaigns, ensuring technical compliance, adhering to design standards, and optimizing deliverability, rendering, and performance for various email types (transactional, commercial, etc.). Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build email campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) — focusing on hand-coding HTML, CSS, and AMPscript (Salesforce) or Profile Query Language (PQL) (Adobe) for dynamic, personalized content based on customer data.

  • Turn design mockups into fully functional email campaigns, adhering to brand standards and email best practices.

  • Build and maintain email templates in Salesforce Marketing Cloud with an eye on our upcoming transition to Adobe Journey Optimizer.

  • Use WYSIWYG editors when necessary, while ensuring final output remains clean, efficient, and in line with coding best practices.

Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting:

  • Perform thorough QA testing on email templates and campaigns, ensuring proper rendering and functionality across different devices and email clients

  • Leverage tools such as Litmus (or Validity, Email on Acid) to troubleshoot and ensure emails display perfectly in various environments.

  • Identify and resolve technical issues quickly, whether they relate to coding, deliverability, or functionality.

Collaboration & Organization:

  • You’ll work within our In-House Agency, collaborating with Interaction Designers, Verbal, Designers, Project Managers, Marketing Partners, IT, Compliance, and Campaign Execution teams.

  • Efficiently manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality execution.

  • Stay organized by following a defined design system, including maintaining folder structures, naming conventions, and organizing assets and content blocks for reuse.

Design System Management:

  • Ensure the email design system remains consistent yet flexible for different campaigns, audiences, and marketing initiatives.

  • Maintain and update email templates and assets in a scalable way, allowing for easy customization by other teams while keeping the design aligned with branding standards.

Project Management & Flexibility & Agility:

  • Understand and manage project requests from various departments, including product marketing, servicing, operations, Freedom Mortgage partners, and internal communications.

  • Quickly pivot between different email types and campaign needs, utilizing existing templates and adapting based on the specific requirements of each project.

  • Maintain effective communication and transparency with teams regarding timelines, expectations, and challenges.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices, applying learnings to improve email strategy and tactics.

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Familiarity with email testing tools such as Litmus, Validity, or Email on Acid for troubleshooting and optimizing email performance.

  • Strong background in QA and troubleshooting, particularly in resolving rendering issues across different email clients.

  • Ability to work with both drag-and-drop tools and custom HTML to create emails, adjusting methods based on project needs.

  • Expertise in email best practices related to deliverability, rendering, compliance, and performance optimization.

  • Experience with email compliance (e.g., CAN-SPAM)

Education and/or Experience:

  • 5+ years of senior-level experience in email development and campaign execution using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) or Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO).

  • Proficient in hand-coding HTML, CSS, and AMPscript (Salesforce) or Profile Query Language (PQL) (Adobe).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Certification in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Adobe Journey Optimizer
