About the team:
At Apollo, product design is led by an accomplished team with decades of experience from some of the world’s most influential product organizations — including Atlassian, Google, PayPal, Intuit, Amazon, and Meta. Collectively, we’ve shaped and defined the experiences across category-defining SaaS tools, scaled global systems, and built high-performing teams that elevate the impact and culture of design across organizations.

Our vision is to build the most customer-obsessed, data-driven, and human-centered design organization in SaaS — one that integrates the power of AI to elevate Apollo’s product and set a new standard for go-to-market software design.

About the Role

As Senior Director of UX Product Design, you’ll lead and scale a best-in-class design team focused on creating a seamless end-to-end experience across Apollo’s platform. This is a high-impact, strategic role that will define our design vision, drive operational excellence, and partner cross-functionally to deliver intuitive, elegant, and scalable solutions that accelerate both customer and business outcomes.

By joining us, you’ll help shape not only the future of Apollo, but also the intersection of AI and design — creating intelligent, forward-looking experiences that empower people and redefine what’s possible in enterprise software.

What You’ll Do-

Design Leadership & Vision

  • Define and drive a cohesive UX strategy and design vision across Apollo’s GTM platform.
  • Champion user-centered design and advocate for experiences that are simple, intuitive, and outcome-oriented.
  • Raise the bar for design quality across interaction, visual, and system design.
  • Leverage emerging technologies and AI to improve product usability, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Translate complex workflows into seamless, scalable experiences that drive retention and growth.

People & Organizational Leadership

  • Lead, recruit, and mentor a team of best-in-class designers and design leaders.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing design culture grounded in creativity, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Build strong partnerships across Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Research to drive clarity, efficiency, and shared ownership of the customer experience.
  • Establish frameworks for team development, career progression, and leadership growth.

Strategic Collaboration & Impact

  • Align design strategy with company goals to ensure UX drives measurable business outcomes.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to integrate design into product planning, roadmaps, and delivery.
  • Champion the role of design in driving product-market fit, customer delight, and operational scale.
  • Establish clear ux success metrics and measure design’s impact on engagement, conversion, and retention.

Execution & Operational Excellence

  • Oversee the design process from discovery to delivery, ensuring consistency, quality, and velocity.
  • Strengthen design systems via contributions, workflows, and operational frameworks to improve scale and speed.
  • Ensure the team delivers high-quality, on-brand solutions that embody Apollo’s standards of craft and usability.
  • Drive continuous improvement through feedback, data, and iteration.

What You Bring:

  • 12+ years in Product/UX Design, including 5+ years leading high-performing teams.
  • Proven success building and scaling design organizations in SaaS or enterprise environments.
  • Experience leading large-scale, end-to-end design initiatives that demonstrate measurable business impact.
  • Strong systems thinking, storytelling, and communication skills — able to influence and align at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of design operations, UX metrics, and experience-led growth.
  • Expertise in modern design tools, AI-driven experiences, and responsive platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Interaction Design, HCI, or a related field.

Outcomes You’ll Drive:

  • Establish and execute a design vision that connects end-to-end user journeys.
  • Build and grow a high-performing design organization grounded in collaboration, craft, and impact.
  • Deliver measurable improvements in product usability, customer satisfaction, and retention.
