About the Role
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and scale the engineering team behind one of the industry's top cloud-based Detection and Response platforms, shaping the future of security operations. In this role, you will:
  • Track record of retaining, developing, motivating and mentoring highly effective teams
  • Ability to embed and lead world-class software development processes and practices
  • Proven ability to drive product resiliency, delivery execution, and operational excellence
  • Develop and maintain technical strategy and establish execution plans to achieve roadmap goals, driving high-fidelity commitments and standards for delivery
  • Set the bar for operational excellence in engineering, driving resilience, performance, and quality initiatives across the organization
  • Partner closely with Product Management, UX, and other stakeholders to establish strategy and roadmap commitments
  • Grow and develop both technical and leadership skills across the organization to create a thriving culture for both individual contributors and team success
  • Steer and grow the engineering team, ensuring a thriving, collaborative cross-site dynamic as the business and product complexity grow rapidly
  • Invest in developing the current and future stars of the engineering organization as the company and engineering organization continue to scale
  • Engage directly with customers to incorporate their feedback and remove points of friction from their product experience
  • Ensure scalable development, testing and deployment processes to maintain and improve product reliability, scalability and performance
  • Collaborate with support teams and cross-functional teams to ensure that customers have a seamless experience when they need help with our products

The skills you'll bring include:
  • Technical Expertise: Fluent in cloud technologies with a proven record of building scalable enterprise software, as well as experience leading teams through efficiently solving complex engineering challenges
  • Organizational Leadership: Experience growing and developing a diverse, distributed, thriving team of leaders, developers and engineers
  • Collaboration: Ability to engage closely with customers, and to influence cross-functional product management, support, strategy and other areas to ensure alignment on the priorities of the engineering team to promote customer success
  • Results Oriented: Proven history of leading and managing engineering teams to build and ship high quality products/platforms in fast-paced, continuous deployment environment
  • Strategic Orientation: Strong facility with following and synthesizing strategic trends in our industry, and dynamically setting course as required to ensure that engineering enables the company to respond to those trends and the resulting customer needs
  • 10+ years of development/engineering leadership experience at scale
