About the role:

The Senior Director of GTM Recruiting will lead Samsara’s efforts to identify, attract, and hire exceptional sales and sales support talent globally, supporting over 600+ hires annually. This strategic role requires a blend of strong leadership, business acumen, and expertise in designing and implementing scalable recruiting processes. This individual will ensure that position groups that directly impact revenue, (quota-carrying roles) are efficiently staffed at all times to ensure quota coverage can be attained. This role will be the global point of contact to the CRO, COO, and Sales leadership to ensure the right recruiting strategy and tactics are identified and adopted across the organization. 

This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US.

In this role, you will

  • Lead a high-performing recruiting team: Hire, develop, and lead a team of high performing managers, and individual contributors across full-cycle recruiting and sourcing. Embody our Samsara Leadership principles. 
  • Partner on departmental talent strategy: Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on market trends, compensation insights, and competitive landscape. 
  • Utilize data to drive decision making: Regularly manage pipeline activity and maintain data integrity, and proactively share data-centric updates with internal stakeholders to improve hiring outcomes.
  • Inspire operational excellence: Establish KPI’s focusing on headcount goal, time-to-fill, quality of hire, diversity, and cost efficiency.
  • Drive diversity initiatives for the company & execute on hiring goals: Execute on quarterly hiring goals with a focus on acquiring top diverse talent to meet our current and future hiring needs.
  • Be a culture champion: Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s values and operating principles as we scale globally and across new offices.
  • Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 12-15 years of experience in sales recruiting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a high volume sales recruiting team.
  • Strong understanding of GTM organizations and various sales methodologies. 
  • Demonstrated experience scaling up high performing quota-carrying teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Experience leveraging data-driven insights to drive recruiting strategy and decision-making.
  • Commitment to Samsara’s core values, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion in executive hiring practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.

Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy: Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles. For eligible roles, a new hire RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually.

We pay for performance, and top performers in eligible roles may receive above-market equity refresh awards which allow employees to achieve higher market.

The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
$153,440$274,000 USD
