Job Summary
The Senior Director, Project Management Office (PMO) & Continuous Improvement will provide visionary leadership to ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives and process optimization across the organization. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will drive enterprise-wide operational efficiency and transformation efforts, ensuring alignment with business objectives. This individual will oversee the PMO function, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and performance excellence.
The Senior Director will engage cross-functional teams, leverage data-driven methodologies, and work closely with executive leadership to enhance project execution and organizational effectiveness. By implementing best practices in project management and process improvement, this leader will optimize workflows, improve stakeholder engagement, and contribute to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management Leadership
- Establish and lead the enterprise PMO, providing governance, best practices, and oversight to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.
- Develop and refine project methodologies, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and stakeholder needs.
- Drive portfolio management, prioritization, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and impact.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Lead the identification and execution of process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile methodologies.
- Evaluate current workflows and operational structures to identify efficiencies and reduce waste.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and data-driven decision-making.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Change Management
- Partner with senior executives to align projects with corporate strategy and ensure seamless execution.
- Drive stakeholder engagement, communication, and transparency in project execution and improvement initiatives.
- Develop and execute change management strategies to facilitate successful adoption of new processes and systems.
Financial & Risk Management
- Oversee project budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Monitor project risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard business continuity.
Technology & Data-Driven Insights
- Collaborate with IT leaders to leverage technology in process improvement and automation efforts.
- Utilize data analytics to drive informed decision-making and identify optimization opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, operations management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in project management, continuous improvement, or operational excellence.
- Strong background in PMO establishment, Lean Six Sigma, and enterprise process improvement.
- Experience driving large-scale initiatives in a multi-site service industry, healthcare preferred.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive transformational change.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods.
- Ability to use standard office equipment such as a computer, telephone, and photocopy machine.
