 About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Director of HR Operations to lead enterprise HR infrastructure, systems, and total rewards strategy within a fast-paced automotive organization. This leader will be responsible for scaling HR operations, driving transformation, and ensuring operational excellence across a complex and evolving business environment.

This role requires a strong blend of strategic leadership, technical HR expertise, and hands-on operational execution.

 Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and scale HR Operations across the organization with a focus on efficiency, compliance, and scalability
  • Oversee Total Rewards strategy, including compensation and benefits design and execution
  • Drive HR systems strategy, including HRIS, payroll systems implementation, optimization, and integration
  • Lead HR analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, audits, and all applicable employment regulations
  • Partner with executive leadership to align HR strategy with business growth objectives
  • Build, lead, and develop senior-level HR teams in a high-performance culture
  • Champion HR transformation initiatives in a fast-growing, dynamic environment
 Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or MBA strongly preferred
  • Minimum 15+ years of progressive HR experience, with deep subject matter expertise in:
    • Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits)
    • HR Systems (HRIS, payroll implementation, and optimization)
    • HR audit, compliance, and operational governance
  • Minimum 10+ years of HR leadership experience at Director level or above
  • Proven experience leading HR Operations within fast-paced, high-growth, or transformation-driven environments (automotive or manufacturing strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated success scaling HR infrastructure in complex organizations
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to operate strategically while maintaining hands-on execution
 Work Environment & Location Requirements
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Charlotte, NC metro area
  • This is a hybrid role requiring 4 days per week in the office, with 1 remote workday permitted
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative, on-site leadership environment
