Scopely is seeking a Senior Director, Head of Mobile to lead mobile product strategy and execution for an upcoming AAA, cross-platform competitive title.

This is a pivotal leadership role reporting to the General Manager. You will be accountable for ensuring we deliver a world-class experience on mobile– from live service and metagame systems, to onboarding, publishing needs, and more. You’ll collaborate closely with our external development partner on the core mobile experience, and lead a mobile-focused team within Scopely driving product, liveops, and publishing for mobile.

At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play, every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues, or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.

What You’ll Do
  • Define the end-to-end mobile strategy for this cross-platform title, ensuring alignment with overall game vision, go-to-market strategy, business goals, and platform strengths.
  • Drive leadership and collaborate across disciplines to support key mobile-focused features and product adaptations (e.g. onboarding, live operations, CRM, and retention systems.)
  • Partner with Publishing, UA, and Marketing to shape mobile-specific acquisition strategies, app store optimization, and CRM programs.
  • Lead roadmap planning and prioritization for mobile, in coordination with Production and other disciplines.
  • Collaborate with our external development partner to ensure high-quality execution of mobile-specific gameplay, controls, UX, and visual fidelity.
  • Guide decision-making with data-driven insights, player feedback, and market trends; define and track key mobile KPIs such as Time To Fun, retention, etc.
  • Ensure cross-play competitiveness and fairness, working with design and data teams to support input-aware matchmaking and platform-aware ranking logic.
  • Monitor and respond to mobile platform trends, ensuring Catalyst remains at the forefront of mobile innovation and player expectations.
  • Advocate for mobile player experience in all phases of development, launch, and live service operations.
What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years in product or platform leadership roles in the mobile gaming industry, ideally with experience in competitive or midcore live-service games
  • Proven success shipping and scaling high-quality mobile experiences, preferably with AAA-style production values and global reach
  • Strong product sense, with fluency in player behavior, UX, platform capabilities, monetization, live ops, and performance optimization
  • Experience collaborating with or overseeing external development partners
  • Strategic thinker with deep understanding of cross-platform ecosystems and player segmentation
  • Skilled communicator and collaborator, capable of aligning stakeholders across disciplines and levels
  • Passion for pushing the boundaries of what mobile can be—and making it a true competitive advantage in a cross-platform ecosystem
