The Senior Director of Enterprise Sales will lead a team of Account Executives responsible for driving revenue growth with enterprise clients within the west coast. In this role, you will manage complex opportunities with a focus on champion development, stakeholder management, and value selling. This role requires a seasoned sales leader with a coaching and development mindset, with deep enterprise SaaS experience. Ideal candidates will have generative AI and/or MarTech expertise, and experience in early-stage startups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Coaching: Mentor and develop a high-performing sales team. Emphasize core selling skills, stakeholder engagement, and process adherence to support complex sales cycles and champion-building.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute an enterprise sales strategy that drives customer value and focuses on converting pilot engagements to long-term partnerships.
  • Pipeline & Performance Management: Build a robust pipeline focused on large enterprise accounts, with clear performance metrics around pilot-to-contract conversion.
  • Client Engagement: Build trusted relationships with C-level clients and champions, showcasing how Typeface solves critical business challenges. Manage multi-level stakeholder dynamics to ensure buy-in across the organization.
  • Process Optimization: Refine sales processes for efficiency and scalability, particularly in pilot execution, value demonstration, and stakeholder management. Maintain CRM standards and reporting practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to align on customer feedback, handover processes, and go-to-market strategies that maximize pilot success.
  • Market Intelligence & Adaptability: Stay updated on industry trends and adapt strategies to changing customer needs and competitive dynamics in generative AI.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in enterprise SaaS sales, ideally with generative AI or MarTech, and early-stage startup experience
  • Proven success in recruiting, retaining and coaching high-performing teams
  • Ability to craft and execute plays that convert pilots to full contracts
  • Consistent, demonstrated ability to achieve revenue goals
    Strong skills in building trust with C-level executives and key champions within complex sales environments
  • Familiarity with AI fundamentals, translating technical features into business value
  • Data-driven decision-making, with strong CRM and reporting skills 

Base Salary

The OTE compensation range for this role is $350,000-$450,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process.
