Department Summary

The Partner Brand & Creative team at Risepoint is a multidisciplinary group of project managers, writers, editors, designers, and video producers.
 

We partner closely with teams across marketing, student success, and university partnerships to build meaningful, high-impact, full-funnel creative that helps universities to grow by moving students to enroll.

Job Summary
Reporting to the VP, Partner Brand and Creative, the Senior Creative Director is a strategic and conceptual leadership role responsible for direct oversight of a team of designers, video producers and content creators. You will serve as a central force in translating brand and content strategy, as well as market research and insights, into breakthrough creative that performs across the full funnel, ensuring a unified creative vision that advances partner goals.
 

You’ll play a key role in unifying and elevating partner brand expression across every touchpoint — enhancing creative quality, increasing output, and driving greater differentiation — while leading the team to deliver strategic, high-impact work that fuels student engagement and partner growth.
 

You will collaborate closely with our Content Strategy, Brand Strategy, and AI Enablement leaders to push creative boundaries while staying grounded in business objectives, partner brand identity,
and audience insights.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Creative Direction & Oversight

  • Uphold the creative vision across design and video (with a dotted line to copy), ensuring consistency across channels and campaigns
  • Provide strong, strategic feedback and elevate the creative standard through critiques, mentorship, and hands-on guidance
  • Lead the development of campaign concepts, partner-facing creative platforms, and modular systems that scale across the funnel

Collaboration & Integration

  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Content Strategy to bring narratives and messaging frameworks to life visually and emotionally
  • Partner with the Senior Director of Brand Strategy to ensure creative outputs align with partner brand platforms and differentiated positioning
  • Work closely with the AI Enablement Lead to test and implement creative tooling that enhances efficiency, personalization, and scalability
  • Work closely with the Senior Director of Creative Operations and Project
  • Managers to ensure creative resources are aligned effectively, workflows run
    smoothly, and the team is set up to deliver high-quality work at scale
  • Foster a culture of accountability, clear communication, and cross-functional
    transparency across all levels of the creative process
  • Bring a solutions-oriented mindset to creative challenges, balancing strategic goals with practical execution to keep work moving forward
  • Creative Leadership in a Shared Services Model
  • Lead a centralized creative team supporting multiple university partners across full-funnel campaigns, launches, and evergreen assets
  • Adapt creative strategy and execution for partner-specific brand guidelines
  • Act as a senior creative voice in cross-functional planning — helping prioritize, scope, and align resources to business goals
  • Champion compelling storytelling across formats and channels — ensuring every creative asset contributes to a cohesive, student-centered narrative
  • Manage relationships with cross-functional stakeholders across Marketing, Paid Media, Digital Experience, Brand, Content, and Partner teams — ensuring creative alignment, clarity of expectations, and timely feedback loops

Team Development & Culture

  • Manage and mentor a team of visual/motion designers and video producers/editors
  • Foster a collaborative, feedback-rich culture grounded in craft, accountability, and learning
  • Guide hiring, career growth, and capability development for the creative
  • Perform in accordance with Risepoint Policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Education Level

  • Bachelor’s Degree Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Advertising, Marketing, Media Arts, or a related field required
  • Master’s Degree Creative Direction, Brand Strategy, or Design Leadership

Experience Level

  • Champion compelling storytelling across formats and channels — ensuring every creative asset contributes to a cohesive, student-centered narrativ
  • Manage relationships with cross-functional stakeholders across Marketing, Paid Media, Digital Experience, Brand, Content, and Partner teams — ensuring creative alignment, clarity of expectations, and timely feedback loops

Team Development & Culture

  • Manage and mentor a team of visual/motion designers and video producers/editors

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Level

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Advertising, Marketing, Media Arts, or a related field required.
  • Master's Degree Creative Director, Brand Strategy or Design Leadership

Years of Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in creative roles, including 3–5 years in a senior creative leadership capacity.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating campaign thinking, full-funnel creative, and team-based execution across design and video.
  • Excellent ability to give clear, strategic feedback and lead team-wide critique and refinement.
  • Comfortable balancing concept development with high-volume production workflows.
  • Experienced working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
  • Deep understanding of performance marketing, digital channels, and visual storytelling best practices.
  • Familiar with creative ops processes (briefing, intake, review cycles) and tools like Workfront, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite and emerging technology, including AI.
