We are seeking a driven and experienced Senior Director, Head of Corporate Development to lead Medison’s Corporate Development. Reporting directly to Medison’s Chief Business Officer, the Head of Corporate Development will be part of the Business Development & Corporate Strategy Division Leadership Team, lead structuring and valuation, assess and execute transactions that align with our long-term growth strategy. This is a top leadership role, for a proactive, result-oriented professional with deep experience in valuation and transaction execution in the pharmaceutical industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead Medison’s valuation, forecasting and structuring across all type of transactions, in collaboration with BD, Market Research and Corporate Strategy. Act as a Center of Excellence for all Valuation matters in the company.
- Identify, evaluate and execute key transactions: M&A, strategic partnerships and other transactions in support of Medison’s growth. Lead cross functional teams through diligence efforts, ensuring rigor analysis and internal collaboration.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of strategic opportunities, aligned with Medison’s long term objectives. Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investment banks and potential partners.
- Works in collaboration with Corporate Strategy and other functions to support Company’s Long-Range Plan, BOD related analyses and other financial assessments.
- Spearhead post-deal analysis, insights and implementation of key learnings in BD practices.
- Serve as a key thought partner to CBO and broader Executive Team, contributing to long term value creation.
- Mentor, manage and develop a high-performing corporate development team, cultivating an environment of Leadership, Collaboration and Excellence
- Collaborate and lead the integration of corporate, scientific and commercial assessments into comprehensive deal analysis.
- Represent Medison externally at key industry conferences and with potential partners, serving as a visible ambassador for the company’s growth strategy.
Requirements
- 10-15 years experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate/business development in the healthcare industry. Strong preference for pharma/biotech related experience.
- Demonstrated successful track record in leading and closing M&A and other transaction types. Commercial stage companies preferred. Ex US transaction experience preferred, but not mandatory.
- Extensive knowledge of M&A, financial analysis, valuation and deal structuring.
- Understanding of the drug development lifecycle and regulatory pathways.
- MBA, or other advance degree.
- Entrepreneurial mind set, highly driven, hands-on, excited by fast-paced hyper growth company.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with C-level executives.

Location: United States (Greater NY or Greater Boston preferred; remote position)
Reports to: Chief Business Officer
Expected Base Pay Range (USD): $225,000-$275,000 per annum
The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
