Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic plans for cloud infrastructure and platform services that align to business objectives.
  • Partner with senior leaders and teams in both enterprise IT and our commercial segments to ensure alignment and development of scalable services.
  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure and platform services while embracing emerging technologies and new ways of working.
  • Align cloud infrastructure and platform services to comply with industry compliance frameworks along with data sovereignty, privacy and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a strong cloud compliance posture by implementing best practice industry standards for access management, data protection, network and cloud security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve operational maturity and service quality.
  • Drive accountability of our cloud cost optimization across teams and vendors to improve efficiency of our workload management.
  • Own and manage cloud infrastructure and platform engineering budget, including forecasting, tracking and reporting.
  • Proactively engage and partner with vendors and service providers to ensure strategic alignment and value delivery for business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor and grow high-performing cloud infrastructure and platform engineering teams while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and platform engineering, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in major cloud platforms(AWS, Azure, Google, OCI) and hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Experience with IaC tools like Ansible, CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Experience in containerization technology and orchestration tools.
  • Understanding of networking, firewalls and managing virtual networks.
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployments.
  • Demonstrated success in managing cloud costs and implementing FinOps practices.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure and integration strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Curious and forward-thinking, with a strong interest in leveraging AI/ML and other emerging technologies to drive innovation.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
