The Senior Director, Mid-Market is part of the Client Success leadership team within Progyny for mid-sized employer clients. This role involves overseeing the company’s mid-market Client Success team, meeting client retention targets, generating revenue through upsells, driving client advocacy, and managing overall client health and key performance indicators to ensure annual goals are met.   

What you’ll do…

  • Responsible for leading and managing the mid-market Client Success teams ensuring all KPIs are met with a focus on client retention and pipeline management for upsells   

  • Act as an Executive Sponsor to support retention goals and drive client engagement and advocacy  

  • Representing company at client meetings and events to promote the company’s brand and build relationships with client base   

  • Must be able to seamlessly articulate Progyny’s value to professionals, executives, strategic partners at both employers and channel partners; understand and articulate a data-driven financial model to support renewals, refine our quarterly and annual reports to best meet client needs  

  • Help resolve member abrasions that are escalated to the mid-market Client Success Team; work closely with other senior leaders to identify the root of the escalation and the best path to resolve  

  • Implement improvements to client success business processes to ensure success with growth and scale  

  • Identify professional development and training opportunities to grow and upskill direct reports   

Position Success Criteria:  

  • Ability to guide and coach client success managers as necessary to ensure their professional development and attainment of goals  

  • Ability to motivate and inspire a team in a changing environments  

  • Ability to build and manage a high-performance mid market client success team  

  • Attention to detail  

  • Ability to implement performance management processes  

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills  

  • Ability to identify, build strong relationships and utilize resources effectively – Team Player  

  • Strong relationship building and leadership skills   

  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize responsibilities  

About you …   

  • 7+ years of experience successfully leading teams within healthcare, employer benefits or insurance industries  

  • Proven track record of working with senior-level executives for client relationship management and consultation within health care benefits segment  

  • Excellent listening, critical thinking, and problem solving skills  

  • Excellent messaging, positioning and communication skills  

  • Project management skills - identify a goal and the steps needed; actively manage action steps to accomplish goal  

  • Strong business and financial acumen; strong problem-solving, judgment and analytic skills  

  • Prior success in a fast-growing organization or managing through transformational change

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $170,000 - $180,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
