Position Purpose: Leads Centene's enterprise AI productivity and LNCN (low-code/no-code) function, with accountability for how employees across the enterprise adopt, build with, and derive measurable value from approved personal productivity and low-code/no-code AI tools. Owns the low-code/no-code (LCNC) enablement experience built on Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio — including Centene-configured scaffolding, reusable components, templates, and the governed "walled garden" environment that allows business users to build agents safely within enterprise guardrails. Directs the enterprise citizen developer program, AI education and certification curriculum, and forward-deployed enablement teams that partner directly with business functions to convert AI capability into operating results. Partners closely with AI governance, security, technical platform owners, compliance, data, and platform leaders to ensure all productivity AI and citizen-developed solutions inherit enterprise controls under the AI Control Plane, including intake, risk tiering, agent registration, data protection, and lifecycle management. Leads a team and serves as a senior advisor to business and technology leadership on AI adoption strategy, capability building, and value realization.

Key Details: Centene is going through our biggest transformation in our history to become the market leader, and AI is the key tool to enable the transformation.  This is an exciting opportunity to use AI to transform a Fortune 20 company, and to change healthcare for the better! This is a remote role within the United States, requiring business travel 2-3 times per quarter. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship and future sponsorship are not available for this opportunity, including employment-based visa types H-1B, L-1, O-1, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, or CPT.

  • Provides strategic and operational leadership for enterprise AI personal productivity, citizen development enablement, and AI workforce education. Sets direction, builds and manages a multi-level team, owns the associated budget and vendor relationships, and is accountable for adoption, safety, and measurable business value across the portfolio.
  • Defines and executes the enterprise strategy and roadmap for AI personal productivity tools and services, establishing standards, service offerings, adoption targets, and value measurement for the enterprise employee population.
  • Owns the Centene LCNC enablement product experience layered on Microsoft Copilot Studio — including the approved connectors and components, starter agent templates, prompt and instruction standards, reusable data-access patterns, LCNC scaffolding, and evaluation tooling — so that business users build on a paved, pre-approved path rather than the base platform.
  • Establishes and operates the governed "walled garden" for citizen development in partnership with platform and security teams, including environment separation and entitlement, approved data source catalogs, DLP-aligned connectors, publishing controls, and the path to production ownership for business-built agents.
  • Directs the enterprise citizen developer program, including maker certification, role-based entitlement, community of practice, office hours, pods of business and technical teams, support model, and the operating model for scaling makers across business functions.
  • Leads, in partnership with others, the enterprise AI education and literacy curriculum — role-based learning paths, prompting and responsible-use training, executive enablement, and ongoing awareness campaigns — and is accountable for participation, proficiency, and sustained usage outcomes.
  • Directs forward-deployed enablement resources who embed with business and operations teams to identify high-value use cases, accelerate first builds, and transfer capability back to the business.
  • Ensures all productivity AI and citizen-developed agents conform to enterprise AI governance, including AI intake as the front door, risk tiering, registration in the AI Inventory and Agent Registry, required evidence and approvals, and defined decommissioning criteria.
  • Establishes the measurement framework for AI enablement — adoption and active usage, agent quality and appropriateness, time saved and rework reduced, cost and consumption per use case — and reports results to senior leadership and enterprise governance forums.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Education/Experience:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related experience, including prior management experience.
  • Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Preferred:

  • Experience implementing personal productivity and low code/no code AI solutions
  • Demonstrated team leadership
  • Transformation and change management experience

Pay Range: $171,900.00 - $326,900.00 per year
