Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers.  The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding Revolutionaries in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

This individual will lead the European accounting function for Revolution Medicines, reporting to the VP Finance and Operations, Europe. This is a key leadership role responsible for building the accounting infrastructure, processes, and controls to support the launch of Daraxonrasib and subsequent products across European markets.

Initially based in the US, the Head of Accounting, Europe will work closely with the US Finance, Systems, and Compliance teams to ensure full alignment of accounting policies and reporting frameworks. In this role, you will use your experience to:
Build the European Finance Infrastructure

  • Design the short-, mid-, and long-term accounting service model to support accounting operations across all European affiliates.

  • Implement scalable solutions balancing insourced and outsourced finance workstreams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

  • Partner with corporate and regional teams to build an operating infrastructure (systems, processes, and controls) that integrates local compliance with global standards.

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Tax, Quality, IT, Commercial and 3PL partners to establish and manage the European Order-to-Cash process.

  • Partner with Corporate Controller, Treasurer, Procurement, IT and Financial Systems to define requirements and implement NetSuite and related systems (e.g. Procure-to-Pay, Concur, Corporate Cards) across Europe.

  • Partner with HR, Legal and local leadership in developing the financial framework to enable employee and operational growth.

Drive Accounting and Reporting Excellence

  • Oversee European accounting operations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, SOX compliance and statutory filings.

  • Partner with Corporate Accounting and external providers to deliver monthly and quarterly closes, aligning on accounting treatments, particularly for revenue recognition.

  • Develop financial reporting packages and statutory documentation for European entities and board materials.

  • Lead and oversee payroll operations across multiple European jurisdictions.

  • Partner with Corporate Tax on intercompany agreements, transfer pricing and VAT processes.

  • Work with Treasury on European banking, liquidity, and currency matters.

  • Collaborate with FP&A to ensure accurate data flow for financial planning and analysis.

  • Lead internal and external audits for European operations.

  • Drive continuous improvement and automation of processes across systems (e.g. Netsuite, Concur, P2P).

Lead and Empower the European Finance Organization

  • Hire, lead, mentor and develop the European accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

  • Communicate effectively with the European and global finance leadership teams, auditors and the Audit Committee on accounting matters.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert to the European Leadership Team, contributing to cross-functional decision-making and strategy.

  • Act as trusted advisor to GMs and leaders in Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Quality, Commercial and Product Supply on finance-related matters impacting Europe.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Minimum of 17 years of Finance and Accounting experience across corporate and operational functions.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the global biopharmaceutical industry, with proven success in scaling finance operations across Europe. CPA is preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in European build-outs for US-based Biotechs.

  • Strong technical accounting foundation with excellent understanding of US GAAP, local GAAPs, and consolidation principles.

  • Proven success in finance systems design and implementation, including ERP and process automation.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to move fluidly between hands-on execution and high-level leadership.

  • Strong business judgment, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills.

  • Track record of leading and developing teams in dynamic, international environments.

  • Results-oriented, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving organization.

Our base pay salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual base pay salary is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
