Senior Director, Product Management – Access Control

As Senior Director, Product Management, Access Control, you will define and lead the vision for the access control capabilities that ensure the Genesys Cloud platform is secure, scalable, and intelligent. At Genesys, we are transforming the customer experience landscape through empathy, innovation, and trusted cloud technology, and this role is critical to protecting that trust. Reporting to the Vice President of Product Management, you will own a strategic portfolio spanning access control, identity, user lifecycle management, and segmentation. You will translate complex security and identity challenges into intuitive platform capabilities that enable confident administration, accelerate adoption, and meet rigorous enterprise and regulatory expectations.

This role requires current, deep, and practical access control experience. Candidates without recent, hands-on ownership of access control systems, policies, and frameworks in a modern SaaS platform environment will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and champion a unified product vision and long-term roadmap for Genesys Cloud access control, including authorization models, identity governance, user management, and data segmentation.

  • Develop and execute a customer-centric strategy that balances usability, scalability, and security for large enterprise environments.

  • Establish and track measurable success metrics and KPIs related to platform security posture, governance effectiveness, adoption, and customer trust.

  • Partner across engineering, security, privacy, legal, and compliance teams to align access control capabilities with Genesys global trust, risk, and regulatory standards.

Execution and Delivery

  • Lead cross-functional product delivery using Agile and design-led practices to translate strategy into high-impact platform capabilities.

  • Drive prioritization and execution across product, engineering, UX, and research teams, ensuring consistent delivery of secure, extensible foundations.

  • Own telemetry, analytics, and usage insights to continuously improve administrative experience, policy clarity, and platform adoption.

  • Ensure access control foundations support extensibility, reliability, and scale for internal teams, customers, and ecosystem partners.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the executive-level product owner and advocate for access control and identity strategy across Genesys Cloud.

  • Communicate platform strategy, rollout progress, and adoption metrics regularly with senior leadership and executive stakeholders.

  • Drive governance models that ensure consistent, correct adoption of platform access control capabilities across products and regions.

  • Build trusted relationships with enterprise customers to understand evolving access, compliance, and security needs and incorporate them into the roadmap.

  • Represent Genesys at internal forums, customer briefings, and industry events as a thought leader in secure, enterprise-grade cloud platforms.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer empathy within the product organization.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of product management experience leading complex SaaS platform initiatives.

  • Current, hands-on experience owning and delivering access control systems in a modern cloud platform environment is mandatory. This includes direct responsibility for authorization models, policy design, role-based or attribute-based access control, and identity-related platform capabilities.

  • Demonstrated technical depth in access control, identity and access management, and user lifecycle management frameworks.

  • Proven ability to build and execute product strategies that balance administrative simplicity with enterprise-grade security and compliance.

  • Strong experience influencing and aligning global, cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Exceptional executive communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.

  • Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels, setting vision while driving detailed delivery outcomes.

  • Experience with large-scale customer platforms, ideally within contact center, customer experience, or workflow orchestration domains.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

What Success Looks Like

  • A unified, modern access control and identity framework adopted consistently across all Genesys Cloud services.

  • Measurably reduced administrative complexity and faster onboarding for enterprise customers.

  • A high-performing product organization aligned around secure-by-design principles, customer trust, and long-term platform scalability.
