Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer (AWS | Terraform | Full Stack Exposure)
We are looking for a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to join a high-impact engineering team building and scaling a mission-critical platform used by nonprofits, government agencies, and correctional systems nationwide.
This role goes beyond traditional DevOps. We are looking for an engineer who not only understands infrastructure and cloud environments, but is also comfortable working with application code when needed.
You will play a key role in designing, building, and scaling reliable systems in a real production environment, working across infrastructure, backend services, and platform-level decisions.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys ownership, operates with autonomy, and can balance infrastructure excellence with practical engineering execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
- Build and scale cloud environments on AWS
- Implement and manage containerized systems using Docker and Kubernetes
- Contribute to backend services and APIs using NestJS and TypeScript
- Support frontend integrations when needed (React-based applications)
- Improve system reliability, scalability, and deployment processes
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth delivery and system performance
Must Have:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or similar roles
- Strong experience with AWS and cloud architecture
- Hands-on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments
- Strong experience with TypeScript and backend development (NestJS or similar frameworks)
- Experience working with React-based applications (at least at an integration level)
- Ability to work across infrastructure and application layers
Nice to have:
- Experience with React Native
- Experience with Python
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Exposure to AI / LLM-based solutions
