What We Need:
As Synapse continues to scale, we're expanding our development team and enhancing our product infrastructure to support our market-leading technology platform. The Senior DevOps Engineer will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining the robust, reliable, and scalable platform that empowers our software engineering team to deliver exceptional products and experiences.
What You Will Do:
- CI/CD: Design and drive adoption of high performing CI/CD pipelines for front end and backend applications (.Net, Angular, Python).
- IAC: Drive repeatability and automation of environment bring-up using solid IAC and containerization practices.
- Manage and automate container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Support development teams with environment provisioning, deployments, and debugging production issues.
- Monitor and optimize cloud costs and resource utilization. Recommend cost reduction efforts.
- Support Data Engineering in the development of Data Pipelines and Infrastructure.
- Consult with product teams on performance issues.
- In conjunction with SRE engineering, deploy and promote best practices for monitoring, alerting, observability, and incident response. Design and deploy scaling (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
What You Have:
At Synapse Health we’ve intentionally built a culture of kindness, collaboration and creativity, and we consider those qualities to be table stakes for any new team member. Additional requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or other related majors, plus at least 5 years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or Platform Software Engineering, with at least 3 years of that in a predominantly Azure environment.
- Demonstrated experience developing DevOps/Infra/Platform roadmaps and leading adoption through influence.
- Bonus: Working knowledge of engineering best practices for privacy and security compliance with PII/PHI: HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA or similar regulatory frameworks.
