The Senior Designer will create strategic design solutions and lead the development of brand experiences, collaborating with teams to elevate work across multiple mediums.
Instrument partners with the world’s most ambitious companies to create transformational change through best-in-class brand experiences and communications. From day one, we’ve been committed to making this a place where people can create the best work of their careers — sustainably.
We’re hiring a Senior Designer to join our Brand Studio team — a group focused on shaping brands and marketing systems that show up powerfully and cohesively across every touchpoint.
This role sits at the intersection of concept and craft. We’re looking for a designer who can think at a high altitude — generating strong, insight-driven ideas — and then bring those ideas to life through thoughtful, detailed execution across brand systems, campaigns, and digital experiences.
You’ll work in tight-knit, multidisciplinary teams alongside strategists, writers, producers, and developers. Collaboration isn’t just encouraged here — it’s essential. You’ll contribute as a key creative voice, helping elevate the work while shaping how it shows up in the world.
What You'll Do
- Deliver smart, strategic design solutions to the right problems — informed by insights and data, across brand, marketing, and multi-channel campaigns.
- Work on a diverse portfolio of projects that span brand systems, campaign work, and visual storytelling for smart and collaborative clients.
- Lead the creation of cohesive and impactful brand experiences that connect emotionally and strategically with audiences across their entire journey.
- Use storytelling, facilitation, and audience insights to create empathy and guide teams toward meaningful, engaging design outcomes.
- Raise the bar through your design work, facilitation, and client collaboration
- Work on a multi-disciplinary team in a highly collaborative and communicative environment with diverse perspectives and expertise
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience designing exceptional brand & digital experiences, with your role clearly defined on each project in your portfolio
- Strong foundation in visual design, art direction, branding, and creative storytelling across diverse mediums.
- Strategic problem-solving skills with the ability to distill complex information into compelling concepts and ideas.
- Strong verbal and visual presentation skills that get across the process, approach, and impact of your design
- A mind for best practices, paired with a willingness to try something just crazy enough to work
- Ability to move quickly to prove out ideas, and a learning mindset
- Expertise in current industry tools with the ability to adapt to new technologies
- Strong sense of ethics, and responsibility in understanding the way the work we do influences the world around us
- Curiosity, humility, and a passion for doing great work
Pay range
- The expected pay range for this position is $85,000-$110,000 for our base US Region 3*. We have three regional pay ranges that are adjusted for cost of living (US1 +15%, US2 +7.5%, US3 Base), learn more about our pay philosophy and cost of living adjustments
