This leader will ensure smooth deal structuring and negotiation processes by collaborating with leaders across sales, business unit leadership, and other key stakeholders to review complex deals, propose pricing strategies, and guarantee compliance with company policies while maximizing revenue opportunities. Over time, this role will continue to build and evolve the program in accordance with the company’s strategic objectives.

This is a perfect opportunity for professionals in adjacent consulting roles to step into a key ‘operating’ function in a fast-growing SAAS business.

What you will do:

  • Work with individual deal teams to assess new opportunities, provide pricing analysis, and coordinate Pricing Committee engagement in final deal strategy approval.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, of both internal and external data, to identify pricing trends, competitive pricing strategies, and customer willingness to pay in new markets.
  • Analyze historical sales data, market conditions, and competitor pricing to develop pricing models and strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including  sales, business unit, and industry leadership to align pricing strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain pricing databases and tools to support decision-making processes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies, making adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes.  Develop ‘best practices’ for application in future client engagements.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact pricing strategies.
  • Assist in the development of pricing policies and guidelines for new markets and use cases.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc pricing analysis and projects as needed.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 8-12+ years of Pricing Strategy and Analytics experience, ideally in SaaS, software, or consulting firms specializing in pricing and packaging.
  • Proven track record of leading and executing complex pricing strategies that drive revenue growth, customer retention, and market competitiveness.
  • Deep expertise in customer research and pricing methodologies.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leadership and drive cross-functional alignment on strategic pricing initiatives.
  • Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills, with deep proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and data analysis tools.
  • A proactive and strategic mindset, with a high tolerance for ambiguity and a strong ability to drive change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Statistics, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.

Your actual base salary will be determined by factors such as relevant experience, geographic location, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, variable compensation and equity may also be included.
