Role overviewAs a Senior Data Engineer, you will be the technical backbone of our client's modern cloud-based data ecosystem, bridging complex data engineering work with strategic business goals.
You will partner closely with business stakeholders to understand analytics needs, design robust data transformations, and translate functional and non-functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
This role supports key retail and eCommerce operations, and ERP-related data processes. You will contribute to the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production-grade data pipelines, ensuring high data quality, reliability, and performance.
You will gather, model, and transform large datasets, optimize high-performance SQL workloads, maintain cloud data warehouse solutions in Snowflake, and participate in strategic ETL and ERP migration initiatives.
Key responsibilitiesPartner directly with business stakeholders to understand analytics needs and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Design, build, maintain, and optimize production-grade data pipelines.
Monitor data alerts, troubleshoot failures, and perform root cause analysis to ensure data quality and operational continuity.
Design, build, and optimize complex SQL queries for large-scale analytical workloads.
Gather, model, transform, and manage large and complex datasets.
Design and maintain scalable cloud data warehouse solutions using Snowflake.
Implement and deploy pipeline changes using GitHub or similar version control systems.
Participate in ETL/ELT modernization initiatives, including migrations from Xplenty (Integrate.io) to AWS Lambda or similar cloud-based solutions.
Participate in ERP integration and migration initiatives, including NetSuite to NetSuite2 migrations.
Build reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for business users.
Continuously improve data architecture, pipeline performance, reliability, and scalability.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
Advanced SQL skills with extensive daily experience writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries in relational databases.
Solid experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
Experience working with AWS services, preferably AWS Lambda.
Experience using GitHub (or similar version control systems) for collaborative development and deployment.
Experience supporting data solutions for eCommerce, merchandising, pricing, inventory, or order management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven experience performing root cause analysis across data pipelines and datasets.
Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating directly with business stakeholders.
Fast learner, highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong ownership and problem-solving skills.
Advanced English (spoken and written).
Experience with ERP platforms (NetSuite / NetSuite2 preferred).
Experience with ERP integrations or migration projects.
Experience with Xplenty (Integrate.io).
Experience with Sigma.
Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools.
Experience designing dimensional models and analytics-ready datasets.
Experience working in Retail, eCommerce, Financial Planning, Merchandising, Inventory Planning, or Supply Chain environments.
