The Role

Join a skilled Fidelity’s Asset Management Technology team to develop advanced data engineering solutions that power critical investment decisions. This role involves developing scalable data processing solutions, designing robust data models and ETL pipelines, and applying modern DevOps and Agile practices. Ideal candidate is deeply enthusiastic about innovation in financial technology, with extensive proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL, AutoSys, data warehousing.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

You bring a wealth of experience and skills that are critical to our success. These include:

  • Years of demonstrated expertise in crafting high-quality data engineering solutions

  • Strong software development background in the Financial Industry

  • Expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development, SQL Scripting, and database performance tuning

  • Proven understanding of ETL tools like Informatica and Data Warehousing platforms such as Snowflake

  • A passion for learning new technologies and analyzing data to identify gaps and build solutions

  • The ability to independently address technical challenges and develop innovative solutions

  • Strong data modeling skills using Quantitative and Multi-Dimensional Analysis

  • In-depth knowledge of data composition concepts including Transactional, Data Mart, and Data Warehouse structures

  • Basic proficiency in Java, Python, REST API, and AWS is advantageous

  • A dedication to delivering high-quality software using DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery practices (Maven, Jenkins, Git, Docker)

  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Kanban and SCRUM) is a plus

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Note: This position requires participation in an after-hours, on-call rotation to provide production support, including troubleshooting, incident response, and maintaining the stability of production systems.

The Team

Asset Management Technology (AMT) offers global technology and assistance to the Investment Management, Research, Trading, and Investment Operations departments at Fidelity. Our team develops top-tier data solutions for Fidelity Strategic Advisor Inc.'s managed account offerings. We are responsible for a multi-terabyte data platform that underpins crucial investment management functions for Fidelity’s leading wealth management services. Our platform caters to investment professionals and clients who regularly engage in significant market investment decisions.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
