What You’ll Do:

Our Data Engineering team is focused on building scalable, reliable data infrastructure that powers insights across CoreWeave. You’ll work closely with Business Intelligence Engineers, analysts, and data scientists to ensure that the data they use is modeled effectively and efficiently, enabling the company to make data-driven decisions confidently.

About the Role:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will lead the development and maintenance of foundational data models, including star and snowflake schemas, within our lakehouse environment. Your day-to-day will involve creating optimized datasets and metrics critical for tracking business performance, setting standards for dimensional modeling, and collaborating cross-functionally to enable streamlined data workflows. You’ll also focus on tuning and optimizing data in modern analytical databases and managing data pipelines through tools like Airflow.

Who You Are:
  • 5+ years programming experience in Python or Scala

  • Advanced SQL skills with demonstrated ability to write, optimize, and debug complex queries

  • Hands-on experience applying Kimball dimensional modeling principles to large datasets

  • Expertise working with analytical table/file formats such as Iceberg, Parquet, Avro, and ORC

  • Proven ability to tune and optimize MPP databases (e.g., StarRocks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)

  • Experience building and managing data workflows using Airflow

  • Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks like Spark or Flink

  • Able to work effectively in fast-paced, complex environments

The base pay for this position ranges from $143,000 to $210,000 with total target cash from $164,000 to $242,000. Pay varies based on location, experience, and skills. This role also includes a discretionary bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Our Workplace

While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets. New hires will be invited to attend onboarding at one of our hubs within their first month. Teams also gather quarterly to support collaboration
