About the role

The team at Laivly is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to turn complex data into clear insights, scalable solutions, and better business decisions as we continue to evolve our AI-powered automation platform, Sidd.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you’ll work across large and varied datasets to uncover opportunities, solve business challenges, and tell the story behind the data. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Sales, Solutions, and Finance, combining strong technical analytics with the business acumen to translate findings into meaningful recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys digging into complex problems, building smarter ways to work with data, and finding practical applications for emerging technologies, including LLMs.

This position is remote and open to candidates within Canada.

As Senior Data Analyst, you will…

  • Analyze and model complex datasets to identify trends, optimization opportunities, and insights that inform strategic and operational decisions.
  • Build and maintain reporting systems, dashboards, data models, and KPIs that give teams clear visibility into business and product performance.
  • Design scalable analytical processes for data intake, validation, mining, transformation, visualization, and communication.
  • Apply LLMs and emerging AI capabilities to analyze and process data in consistent, repeatable, and scalable ways.
  • Translate data into a story, clearly communicating findings, recommendations, and business impact to internal teams, leaders, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain data quality standards and controls to ensure reporting and analytical deliverables are accurate, reliable, and aligned with organizational requirements.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Solutions, Finance, and other teams to understand business challenges and turn them into effective analytical solutions.
  • Look ahead, anticipating future reporting and analytics needs and proactively building solutions that help Laivly scale.

As Senior Data Analyst, you have…

  • 7+ years of experience working with complex datasets, including data analysis, manipulation, modeling, and extracting actionable business insights.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including querying across multiple tables, complex joins, subqueries, and large datasets.
  • Strong knowledge of data mining and analytical techniques, including predictive analytics, hypothesis development, experimental design, statistical analysis, and translating results into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience designing and building dashboards, reporting solutions, data models, or databases that support decision-making.
  • Experience working with data lake or modern cloud data environments. Experience with Databricks is an asset.
  • Practical experience using LLMs or other AI tools to analyze, classify, transform, or process data at scale.
  • A strong track record of using analytics to solve business problems, identify opportunities, and contribute to organizational growth.
  • Strong problem-solving and quantitative skills, with a high bar for data quality and accuracy.
  • The ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working across functions to take analytical projects from problem definition through to implementation.
  • Experience with analytical pipeline design and optimization is considered an asset.
