Job Description:
This job is responsible for ensuring operational data is fit for purpose, defining controls, and monitoring processes are in adherence to enterprise data management standards. Key responsibilities include triaging and remediating data incidents, performing data analysis, training new users, and performing impact analysis stemming from data updates. Job expectations include helping in defining access and ownership of data by domain, conducting quality control, and overseeing data maintenance.

The Funding and Investment Products team manages governed data products that support critical regulatory and financial reporting across Global Regulatory Reporting, Balance Sheet Management, Liquidity and other CFO functions. We design, maintain, and enhance Authorized Data Sources (ADS) provisioning points for complex instruments such as long-term debt, intercompany loans, debt securities, repos, and derivatives, ensuring compliance through robust controls, reconciliations, and production support. This team leads strategic initiatives that enable trading desks to launch new products, build out reporting infrastructures, and establish key controls, while also exploring AI-driven opportunities to strengthen governance and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures data is accurate, complete, and fit for performing data analyses through various testing procedures and data controls which help to identify business insights fit for purpose for a particular product set
  • Develops and executes on Enterprise Data Management policies and standards, works across teams to ensure adherence, serves as a key point of contact for all topics related to data compliance, and manages operational elements of the (Enterprise Data Strategy Governance and Operations (EDSGO) relationship
  • Manages data related incidents and identifies, communicates, and resolves or escalates issues as needed. Data inquiries include questions related to data issues, availability of data, and potential sourcing alternatives to inform
  • Develops, manages, and executes on controls, ensuring tracking, monitoring, and resolution of any control breaches with data platform
  • Partners with Business and Technology functions to drive the development of business and functional requirements documents and ensures strategic upstream resolution for data related incidents

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Unwind SQL and ETL layers in Oracle database to identify issues/root cause analysis, understand logic/derivations and work with internal and upstream tech partners to resolve issues in a timely fashion
  • Design data solutions based on reporting and capability needs of business partners
  • Data Control Governance - Ensuring process controls, data validation activities, and measurement processes remain timely and relevant
  • Create and maintain required documentation and evidence to ensure adherence to EDM Standards and RDA requirements
  • Work under minimal supervision on CFO projects that require creative solutions under very tight deadlines
  • Operational Excellence – Improving CFO Data Management functions for production, data governance, data change and regulatory/audit activities
  • Validates data and signs off on reports within test environments to confirm application accuracy, functionality and EDM Standards are met
  • Work on CFO ADS Databases US Central Finance Agg Reg Reporting Infrastructure (CFARRI) and Corporate Investments Data Warehouse (CIDW). These databases encompasses a vast number of funding and investment products including derivatives, debt, cash, loans, etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Power Point) including advanced excel functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP to supplement SQL skills in data analysis exercises
  • Hands-on experience querying and analyzing large sets of data using SQL (data warehouse is Oracle)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be creative, and be able to balance multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities skills needed to perform complex data analysis
  • Must possess very strong communication skills with teammates and leadership within CFO Data Management (CFODM)
  • Ability to work independently and take lead on addressing issues
  • Familiarity with ETL tools (Informatica)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Banking products (Securities, Derivatives, Debt, Loans, Deposits, Repurchase Agreements)
  • Strong knowledge and prior experience with Data Controls monitoring and/or Data Control governance practices
  • Banking or Financial Experience
  • Familiarity with BAC Enterprise Data Management Policy & Standards
  • Treasury background
  • BI Tools (PowerPivot, Tableau)
  • General Ledger Reconciliation experience
  • Data Warehouse experience
