Position Overview

The Senior Creative Strategist is responsible for owning creative strategy and performance across a portfolio of high-priority client accounts. This role sits at the intersection of Media and Creative, translating performance data, consumer insights, and business objectives into actionable strategic creative direction, testing strategies, and compelling client narratives.

The Senior Creative Strategist works closely with Creative, Media, Growth, and Account teams to develop high-performing creative strategies and contribute to shared best practices across the Performance Creative team.

What You’ll Do

Creative Strategy & Direction

  • Own and lead omnichannel creative strategy across assigned brands, including briefing, planning, execution, and performance analysis of testable creative assets.

  • Establish strategic direction for evergreen creative development, testing methodologies, and performance frameworks across accounts.

  • Translate complex performance data into clear, compelling narratives that articulate creative impact, learnings, and next steps to clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Turn performance insights, customer research, brand positioning, and cultural trends into differentiated creative concepts, messaging angles, and hypotheses.

Collaboration & Creative Excellence

  • Collaborate with fellow Creative Strategists and cross-functional partners to strengthen strategic thinking and creative output.

  • Contribute to shared best practices, frameworks, and learnings across the Creative Strategy team.

  • Provide thoughtful peer feedback and share account-level insights that can help improve work across the broader team.

  • Support onboarding and training initiatives as the Creative Strategy team scales.

Testing & Optimization

  • Design and oversee creative testing roadmaps tailored to client goals and funnel stages, ensuring tests are strategically sequenced and structured to maximize learning and performance impact.

  • Partner with Media teams to align creative testing volume and cadence with client budgets, performance goals, and learning priorities.

  • Ensure paid creative messaging aligns with the broader customer journey, including landing pages, offers, and relevant lifecycle touchpoints.

Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • Lead deep-dive creative performance analysis using Motion and platform-level data to identify winning themes, hooks, formats, and messaging.

  • Translate creative performance and consumer behavior insights into clear hypotheses, iterations, and new creative concepts.

  • Surface creative wins, cross-account trends, and strategic learnings that can inform broader Creative and Media teams.

Cross-Functional Strategy & Collaboration

  • Own and lead performance creative strategy across assigned brands, including creative planning, briefing, testing, iteration, and performance analysis.

  • Provide strategic input on launches, promotions, and key moments, shaping messaging, positioning, and offer strategy.

  • Serve as a senior creative thought partner to internal teams and clients.

Internal Strategy & Process Improvement

  • Translate successful client-level learnings into reusable frameworks and best practices for the broader team.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of SOPs, playbooks, training, and documentation for creative strategy, testing, and analysis.

  • Share relevant learnings, tools, and approaches that can improve team effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify workflow improvements and opportunities to strengthen creative operations.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3-5 years of experience in performance creative strategy or a closely related digital marketing discipline, with deep experience in paid social.

  • Experience collaborating with and providing constructive feedback to creative and strategic partners.

  • Deep experience in direct-response marketing, performance creative, briefing, and/or copywriting.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating performance-focused creative strategy across CPG, DTC, and/or eCommerce brands.

  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategic insights and recommendations.

  • Hands-on experience with Motion or comparable creative analytics tools; Motion experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of Meta and/or TikTok advertising ecosystems, with experience navigating Ads Manager and interpreting campaign performance is preferred. Previous experience media buying across search and/or social experience is a plus.

  • Experience collaborating closely with media buyers, video editors, designers, and developers.

  • Strong communication skills and confidence presenting insights and recommendations to clients.

  • Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback and collaborate effectively across creative disciplines.

  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, solving complex problems, and driving initiatives forward independently.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

  • A collaborative working style with a passion for strong creative thinking, continuous learning, and scalable creative systems.
