Senior Content Manager

Who we are:

We dream big. We love food. We’re building the next generation of marketing software, and our mission is to help the lifeblood of our communities, small businesses, specifically local restaurants and bars.

Launched in 2015, SpotHopper has quickly become the leading all-in-one marketing and operations platform for in-house teams to use at bars and restaurants. We work with over 17,000 restaurants and were recently named one of the 100 fastest-growing AI companies in the world.

SpotHopper's all-in-one marketing and operation technology helps independent restaurants tackle the challenges they face online from one easy-to-use platform, saving them time and money, and driving a significant ROI. The industry-leading solution enables operators to elevate their online image, increase exposure, bring in more customers, attract more qualified employees, and keep up with national chains.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Content Manager to own SpotHopper’s content strategy across all owned channels — including the website, blog, email, and organic social. This role is both strategic and hands-on: you’ll manage our content roadmap, write and edit high-impact pieces, and partner cross-functionally to drive growth, engagement, and brand trust.
We’re looking for someone who embraces the power of AI to scale faster and smarter — using tools like ChatGPT, Jasper, or Perplexity to ideate, draft, refine, and optimize across formats. You’ll also oversee the website’s performance and SEO, working closely with our Engineering team to implement improvements. If you’re excited about creating content that performs — and you see AI as a creative partner, not a shortcut — we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage all content across SpotHopper’s owned channels: website, blog, email, and social media
  • Own the content calendar, aligning campaigns with product launches, customer stories, and seasonal initiatives
  • Lead the expansion of the SpotHopper website — building out new pages and sections that support lead generation and SEO
  • Develop and execute SEO strategies, including keyword targeting, on-page optimization, and content structure
  • Write, edit, or oversee compelling content that reflects our brand voice and speaks to independent restaurant owners (our ICP)
  • Coordinate with Engineering to publish content and implement updates via our proprietary CMS
  • Track content performance metrics (traffic, engagement, conversions) and use insights to drive continuous improvement
  • Monitor online sentiment and reputation on platforms like Reddit and TikTok, collaborating with Customer Success to address feedback
  • Maintain a consistent, human-centered brand voice across all content

What You’ll Bring

  • 4–6 years of experience in content marketing, editorial, or digital strategy — ideally in SaaS, hospitality tech, or B2B environments
  • A strong portfolio of content you’ve produced across formats (web, blog, social, email) that demonstrates voice, clarity, and performance
  • Knowledge of SEO tools (e.g., Semrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console) and how to apply insights to content strategy
  • Experience managing and building out websites and content
  • Familiarity with social media publishing and engagement — especially Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Fluency with AI-powered content tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, GrammarlyGO) and a comfort using them to speed up ideation, drafts, and optimization
  • A growth mindset and excitement about scaling content through smart, efficient workflows
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize, pivot, and ship content quickly
  • Comfort engaging with performance data to refine and improve content outputs

Bonus if You Have

  • Certifications in tools like Semrush, Ahrefs, or HubSpot SEO
  • Familiarity with reputation management platforms or tools (e.g., Sprout, Brandwatch, Reddit tools, etc.)
  • Experience marketing to independent restaurants or working in hospitality
  • Experience developing content workflows using AI tools to boost output without sacrificing quality
  • Background in CRO (conversion rate optimization) or A/B testing
  • Experience developing brand guidelines or evolving a company’s brand voice
  • Knowledge of AI-driven search (ChatGPT, Perplexity) and how it affects modern content discoverability

Compensation

  • Base salary 3-6 years: $95-125k
