  • Maintain and evolve a centralized editorial calendar that aligns with campaigns, launches and seasonal opportunities
  • Manage team of writers to ensure brand guidelines and ActivTrak strategy is successfully executed

  • Review and finalize content created by internal writers and external partners before publication

Content Production & Repurposing

  • Oversee the production of various asset types including blogs, whitepapers, case studies, guides, customer stories, webinars, web copy, landing pages, product pages, email nurture tracks and onboarding content
  • Create content briefs that specify audience cohorts, tasks, questions, SERP features, schema and internal link targets.
  • Repurpose high-performing content into new formats to maximize reach and ROI

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead content planning meetings and kickoff sessions with stakeholders across marketing, sales, product and customer success.
  • Collaborate with designers, writers and external vendors to deliver content on time and at scale

Performance & Optimization

  • Define KPIs for content performance and track against goals related to engagement, pipeline contribution, adoption and retention
  • Partner with SEO/AEO internal lead and external agency to ensure alignment with program, editorial guidelines and priorities

Requirements

Background & Experience:

  • 6-10+ years in content marketing, strategy or editorial roles — ideally in B2B SaaS, with lifecycle or customer marketing exposure
  • Strong experience developing full-funnel content strategies (awareness to retention)
  • Experience managing both internal content teams and external contractors or agencies
  • Has worked cross-functionally with marketing ops, product marketing, corporate comms and brand

Core Competencies:

  • Can develop and operationalize a multi-touch content strategy that aligns to the buyer and customer journey
  • Acts as the gatekeeper of content quality, doing final editorial reviews and enforcing voice/tone/brand consistency
  • Comfortable collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize content that supports business needs (web, demand gen, lifecycle)
  • Strong editorial background, with attention to storytelling, clarity and conversion
  • Strong project management skills to oversee production of content assets across the team

Strategic Thinking:

  • Understands how content fits into broader growth and retention strategies
  • Experience mapping content to persona-based journeys across channels and lifecycle stages
  • Can interpret analytics and make informed decisions to refine strategy over time

Tools & Skills:

  • Familiar with SEO and working closely with SEO teams/agencies
  • Familiar with marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo)
  • Comfortable with content management tools and workflows (Monday,  Google Docs, CMS)
  • Knows how to drive and measure content performance and engagement
  • Familiar with the norms and expectations of platforms like Reddit, LinkedIn and YouTube, adapting voice, tone and format for authentic engagement
  • Experience translating strategy into actionable briefs and repeatable workflows for creators and developers
  • Willingness to learn and collaborate on the following: Taxonomy and content modeling tools, schema markup validators, crawling and logs analysis, vector or semantic scoring utilities, prompt and evaluation frameworks for AI
