Wipfli is seeking a Senior Consultant to work in our Madison, WI office location. In that role, the individual will:
  • Own product guidance by providing product leadership and daily management throughout product development from inception to delivery, leading and holding teams accountable to deliver on product vision along with the reporting of the roadmap execution to ensure delivery and quality results.
  • Create requirements and drive reviews with internal teams and with clients to ensure clarity and understanding. Work closely with development teams to define iteration content and communicate/groom user context and business requirements with adequate detail, from epics to use cases, workflows, user stories, wire frames, acceptance criteria, etc.
  • Contribute to the product increment planning processes, including product planning, backlog management, innovation pipeline, etc.
  • Work with clients and teammates to conceptualize, lead, analyze, research, document, communicate, architect, design and implement technology solutions that provide improvements to the client's business processes and information technology, in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with client to understand business vision, business requirements, developing use cases, interface among client business teams, client IT/IS teams and Wipfli engineering teams to conceptualize, develop and implement technology solutions to achieve business goals.
  • Assist in designing and developing technology solutions based on the client requirements.
  • Possessing in-depth knowledge of the latest trends in the industry and a broad and deep knowledge of technology.
  • Supporting sales and account planning efforts to understand client business requirements and help architect solutions to fit clients' need and vision.
  • Participating in R&D (research and development) and foundational efforts to help position the team to learn, develop and deliver innovative solutions to the market.
  • Provide leadership to a team of engineers to design and develop technology solutions based on the client requirements, provide guidance and oversight during the conception, coding, testing and delivery of the product.

Qualified individuals must have a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field. The individual must also have at least 8 years of progressive software development experience. As part of the 8 years of progressive software development experience required, the individual must have:
  • 8 years of experience with Guidewire Policy Center implementation;
  • 8 years of experience in the Insurance domain;
  • 8 years of experience working with Agile Methodology of software development;
  • 8 years of experience working with a multi- functional team comprised of QA engineers and other roles;
  • 8 years of experience in functional, integration and automation testing.
  • 3 years of experience in the process improvement initiatives named shift left technique
