Lead the external PR strategy for Atlassian's Teamwork Collection, focusing on AI's impact on teamwork, engaging media, and driving campaigns.
Are you a storyteller at heart who wants to help shape the conversation about the future of work? Atlassian is looking for an experienced communications professional to lead the external PR strategy for our Teamwork Collection-a powerful combination of apps, including Jira, Confluence, Loom, and Rovo teamwork agents, that helps every team collaborate better.
This is a highly visible role at the intersection of product innovation and cultural transformation. You'll develop and drive strategic narratives about how Atlassian is reimagining teamwork and how AI is fundamentally changing how we collaborate, make decisions, and build products. We're not here for AI theater. We're here to show what useful, human-AI collaboration looks like in practice.
You'll own the comms strategy across product and thought leadership moments and work with internal teams and agency partners to raise awareness of Atlassian's Teamwork Collection and how it helps every kind of team work better together.
You'll be part of the product communications team within the marketing organization and report to the Senior Communications & Strategy Manager, who is based in the U.S.
Working at Atlassian
Atlassians can choose where they work - whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
On your first day, we'd love you to have:
More about our team
Everything we do on the communications team is driven by business impact. We work collaboratively and cross-functionally, but every project has one owner who is empowered as the key decision maker. We have a distributed team united by our shared goals. We determine success metrics up front and restlessly drive towards them. We strive for transparency and awareness in everything we do, but we are comfortable not knowing the details of everything. We embrace our "open company, no bullshit" value and have the grit to tell it like it is. We're good listeners. We move really fast. We take risks and fail (which is OK!). We take away vital lessons to ensure we don't repeat the same mistakes again. We play as a team.
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $146,300 - $195,000
Zone B: $131,600 - $175,500
Zone C: $121,400 - $161,900
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
Please visit go.atlassian.com/payzones for more information on which locations are included in each of our geographic pay zones. However, please confirm the zone for your specific location with your recruiter.
