Our Company:

LendingTree was founded in 1996 by CEO Doug Lebda to help people comparison shop and get a great deal on the single biggest transaction of their lives: their mortgage. Since then, we’ve facilitated over 65 million loan requests, while becoming a household name (our brand recognition rivals Bank of America and Wells Fargo).  Today we do much more than mortgages. We are the #1 online marketplace in the US for consumers to comparison shop for mortgages, personal loans, credit cards, student loans, auto loans and insurance. We have established relationships with millions of customers who engage with us through our My LendingTree portal, giving them access to free credit scores and money saving alerts. We are on a mission to help consumers save money and better their lives.
We’re publicly traded (TREE), we’re financially sound and we’re in the top 10 of Fortune’s 100 Fastest Growing Companies. If you’re looking for an opportunity with a dynamic company that is fanatically pro-consumer and that champions your entrepreneurial spirit, then you’ve come to the right place!

Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer to join our operations team. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions across AWS, Azure, and database systems. A key part of the role is building automation around implementations and CI/CD pipelines for both application code and data — enabling earlier testing, validation, and deployment (“shift-left”) for our development and data teams. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills (particularly in Python and C#) and experience building scalable automation that improves reliability, speed, and consistency across infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts, tools, and workflows for AWS and Azure environments.
  • Build automation around implementations and CI/CD pipelines for both application code and data, enabling earlier testing, validation, and deployment (“shift-left”) for development and data teams.
  • Implement and manage automation for database operations (backups, replication, patching, performance tuning, failover).
  • Ensure infrastructure-as-code best practices are followed using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep templates.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and design automated solutions for recurring problems.
  • Document automation frameworks and processes for long-term maintainability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Python and C# for automation and tooling development.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.) and Azure (VMs, Azure SQL, Functions, ARM/Bicep, etc.).
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automation into build and deployment workflows.
  • Experience with database systems (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL equivalents) including automation of operational tasks.
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and monitoring in cloud environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, or AKS).
  • Exposure to secrets management and automation security practices.
  • Background in operational monitoring and observability tooling (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, ELK).
  • Prior experience in a DevOps, infrastructure, or SRE role.

Our Culture:

Our clothes are casual and relaxed, and our work ethic is highly professional. It is our culture for each team member to challenge the status quo, express their opinions, and to stand up, ask for the ball and run with it to meet our aggressive goals. We also have a lot of fun together! We’re always looking for the best, brightest, high energy, results-driven Rock Stars to join our team. We reward innovation, creativity and the ability to just GET STUFF DONE.

LendingTree is the kind of company that not only promotes diversity and inclusion, we thrive because of these values. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion (or creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation or military status.
