Job Summary: The Senior Cloud Engineer architects, designs, deploys, and manages cloud-based solutions to meet the organization’s technical requirements.

  • Uses Cloud Service Provider(s) to deploy available, scalable, performant, and secure applications.
  • Develops automated methodologies and workflows for deployment activities, configuration management, supporting systems, and business processes.
  • Governance of cloud infrastructure, including both technical controls and cost optimization structures.
  • Designs and builds algorithms to help detect anomalies and trend changes in production systems.
  • Monitors, optimizes, and troubleshoots software infrastructure.
  • Optimizes cloud spending by monitoring resource usage and recommends solutions.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including developers, project, and technical stakeholders, to ensure cloud and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) implementations meet business needs.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Level Specific Criteria

  • Leads the design and implementation of complex cloud solutions that span multiple teams and systems

  • Develops and maintains cloud strategies and roadmaps that align with business goals and objectives

  • Evaluates new cloud, automation technologies, tools, and makes recommendations for adoption

  • Automates and streamlines software delivery processes to cloud and container platforms

  • Implements advanced integration and CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies to the cloud

  • Develops and implements metrics and analytics to measure the efficiency, effectiveness, and optimization of cloud solutions

  • Mentors and provides guidance to junior team members, promotes best practices, and maintains quality standards

  • Acts as a subject matter expert in automation and provides guidance to other teams within the organization

Accountability/Complexity

  • May manage projects requiring the responsibility of delegating work and reviewing resulting work product.

  • May be responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within job area.

  • May function as a team lead and assistant to the supervisor/manager.

Experience

  • 6 > years relevant experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

    (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-

    year college)

  • Associate's degree in a technical field

  • Certification in relevant focus area

Location Requirement: Remote (US) - excluding the following states: MA, CA, WA, HI, AK, CO, CT, MT, NY, NJ
