Senior Cloud Engineer IS - Hybrid
Cloud Service Engineers work in partnership with developers, testers, and program managers (typically early in the development process) to design, operate, grow, and improve large-scale, cloud-based services offered to IS and non-IS caregivers. Their technical skills are on par with their Development, Test, and Program Management counterparts.
Essential Skills:
- Must have extensive experience in configuring and managing Azure networking components, including VNets, subnets, private endpoints, ExpressRoute.
- Senior level experience designing, engineering, operating, and administering Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS) solutions, including monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and optimization.
This role requires a minimum of several years of hands-on Azure Hub-and-Spoke networking experience, including the design and operational support of complex enterprise network architectures. Azure networking expertise is the primary qualification for this position and is essential for success in the role. Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years of related experience
- Good experience leveraging data and metrics to drive behavior, process, and priority decisions. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Experience in problem solving using systematic procedures and investigating problems utilizing root cause analysis.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in a Healthcare environment.
- Creating and managing server images with Packer.
- Experienced with configuring Desired State Configuration (DSC) using AWX.
- Knowledge of implementing security controls such as CIS and NIST.
- Experienced with Azure DevOps and ServiceNow.
