Senior Cloud Architect – Infrastructure
The Senior Architect leads technical delivery for complex, long-term cloud engagements, serving as a subject matter expert and fostering strong relationships across practices, clients, and Microsoft counterparts. This role is pivotal in shaping technical solutions, driving delivery excellence, and cultivating a collaborative, inclusive culture.
Responsibilities
Leadership & People Development
• Provide consulting leadership and mentorship to internal and external teams, supporting technical delivery and driving timelines for customer-focused outcomes.
• Act as a player-coach, promoting continuous improvement and partnering with practice leaders and consulting managers to deliver constructive feedback.
• Mentor team members on enterprise engagement best practices.
Technical Delivery
• Serve as Technical Lead on key accounts, ensuring client success and exceeding expectations.
• Translate client business needs into effective technical solutions and delegate workstream requirements appropriately.
• Drive collaboration across cross-practice teams to deliver high-quality, enterprise-class solutions.
• Develop stakeholder engagement strategies and facilitate customer backlog planning.
• Support project forecasting and Sprint 0 planning.
• Conduct post-project retrospectives to identify improvement opportunities.
• Celebrate team successes and promote the impact of delivery engagements.
Technical Expertise
• Demonstrate broad and deep knowledge of Azure technologies, including infrastructure, networking, security, automation, and cloud migration.
• Azure technologies inclusive of but not limited to: Azure Foundation, Log Analytics (KQL), Application Insights, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, Security Center, Azure Networking (App Gateways, Front Door, Firewall, VWAN), Azure Storage, Azure Automation, Azure Sentinel, App Services, Containers (AKS), Managed Instances, Azure Migrate, Azure SQL, Azure DNS, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Files
• Lead projects spanning multiple cloud platform offerings and ensure delivery using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Bicep or Terraform.
• Embrace automation and AI enabled delivery.
Partners with/ Supports
• Supports – Practice Leaders, and Directors, and Delivery Owners for client success support, technology standards, and delivery patterns.
• Partners With – People management (consulting managers and directors) for employee feedback, skills assessment, and coaching opportunities.
Business Growth & Partnerships
• Drive transparent, predictable outcomes to enable future opportunities and establish trusted advisor relationships with key accounts.
• Reach trusted advisor for Key and Priority Accounts
• Invest in client relationships by creating tailored experiences that elevate current capabilities and foster trusted communications.
• Help reduce client investments by heading off escalations before they hit the bottom line
Individual Targets
• Maintain an 86% utilization target (36 hours/week).
• Support Presales as a Subject Matter Expert to help shape solutioning
• Help peers break through technical blockers and develop their consultative approach to client interactions.
• Coach, mentor, and train younger in-career peers
Requirements
• Previous experience acting as the technical delivery oversight on multiple client engagements with strong consultative skills
• Broad deep technical knowledge across Azure technologies inclusive of: Log Analytics (KQL), Application Insights, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, Azure Security, Azure Networking (App Gateways, Front Door, Firewall, VWAN), Azure Storage, Azure Automation (IaC), Azure Sentinel, App Services, Containers (AKS), Managed Instances, Azure SQL, Azure DNS, Azure Virtual Desktop + Nerdio, Azure Files
• Have a strong understanding of Cloud Infrastructure solutions and the delivery/execution of how they are implemented using IaC (Bicep or Terraform)
• Drive to maintain knowledge of the latest technologies and how they may impact existing 3Cloud offerings
• Understanding of cloud ecosystem and leading-edge cloud emerging technologies.
• Performance analysis, troubleshooting and remediation techniques.
• Strong analytical problem-solving ability.
• Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a virtual project team
• Have obtained the AZ-305 Cloud Architect certification

3Cloud offers competitive compensation. In addition to base pay employees are eligible to receive an annual discretionary/utilization bonus. If you are hired at 3Cloud your final base salary is based on factors such as skills, education, experience and/or geographic location.
