Vanguard’s Advice and Wealth Management division serves our advised direct investors, and all high net worth and ultra-high net worth investors (both advised and self-directed). Advice and Wealth Management are among the fastest growing offers in a large and growing industry segment, reflecting clients’ desire for more help. To keep up with this demand and maximize the value we deliver to our clients, Advice and Wealth Management has significant growth aspirations. As a Senior Business Unit Strategy Analyst in Advice and Wealth Management, you will conduct strategy analysis, develop competitive intelligence, and work on the most pressing questions that will inform long term planning and help our division achieve these growth aspirations.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads process of planning and business problem diagnosis. Independently defines business problems, issues, by consulting with business partners. Develops and oversees approach for research and analyses. Coaches less experienced business strategy analysts in best practices and building business acumen.

  • Synthesizes analyses, key findings, and potential solutions into actionable recommendations. Prepares and delivers materials, including presentations, white papers, case studies, etc.

  • Provides subject matter expertise in order to derive key insights from highly complex data. Verifies the quality, accuracy, and reasonableness of the data. Organizes and delivers data with actionable insight to the business.

  • Stays abreast of industry, market, and business competitive trends. Leads efforts to keep the senior management team informed of key industry, competitive, and product trends. Recommends new and enhanced capabilities and services.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of eight years related work experience.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.

  • Prior experience in strategy development preferred.

  • Prior experience with executive stakeholder management preferred.
