The Senior Business Systems Engineer will architect, develop, and deploy NetSuite solutions, enhance integrations, and optimize business processes using various technical skills, including SuiteScript and AI tools.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sr. Business Systems Engineer to join our growing Business Systems team. In this role, you'll focus on architecting, developing, and deploying robust NetSuite solutions, streamlining manual processes, and building critical integrations to support our rapid global growth. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in SuiteScript, SuiteTalk, and SuiteFlow integrations, is passionate about optimizing business processes through technology, and actively leverages modern AI tools to assist with coding and enhance development efficiency.
This role will be based out of our Austin office with an in-office requirement of 4x a week.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom solutions and enhancements within the NetSuite platform utilizing SuiteScript (2.0, 2.1), SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk, and SuiteBuilder.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, and translate them into robust technical specifications and NetSuite solutions.
- Develop and maintain integrations between NetSuite and internal or third-party platforms (such as Salesforce, Workday, and ZIP) using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools like Workato.
- Leverage AI development tools to assist with scripting, debugging, and accelerating the software development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to NetSuite functionality, performance, and third-party integrations.
- Configure and manage NetSuite custom records, fields, forms, workflows, saved searches, and SuiteAnalytics reports.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, and provide training or technical support to end-users.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in NetSuite development, customization, and administration
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in JavaScript and SuiteScript, alongside knowledge of Web Services (REST/SOAP), HTML, and CSS
- AI Tool Proficiency: Experience utilizing AI coding assistants (such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Cursor) to enhance development efficiency and code quality.
- Integration Expertise: Proven hands-on experience with integration platforms, specifically Workato, Mulesoft, or Dell Boomi
- Functional Knowledge: Deep understanding of accounting and business processes, including Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and General Ledger
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
- Bonus: NetSuite certifications (such as SuiteCloud Developer, ERP Consultant, or SuiteFoundation) are highly preferred
