Industry coverage includes oil & gas (LNG, pipelines), renewables (solar, wind, BESS), data centers and industrials.

Job Description
Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate that will support the CIB Reputation Management Program on Project Finance transactions/deals/clients, performing environmental and social (E&S) due diligence. Industry coverage includes oil & gas (LNG, pipelines), renewables (solar, wind, BESS), data centers and industrials.
Job Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Identify in scope entities/transactions for due diligence
- Perform E&S due diligence on project finance transactions by reviewing deal documents (IE, technical and/or E&S reports) and conducting online research
- Identify and provide analysis on the potential E&S impacts and related reputation risks (impacts to biodiversity, climate, Indigenous Peoples/tribes and communities for example)
- Maintain internal systems of records and workflow tools
- Assist the CIB Reputation Management Program on other reputation risk reviews
- 2+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Years of experience: 3+ years in an environmental due diligence role at a bank or environmental consultancy performing E&S due diligence on energy and industrial projects
- Knowledge of the E&S impacts related to abovementioned industries, Equator Principles and IFC Performance Standards
- Ability to perform research and analysis of E&S impacts
- Ability to work in a complex work environment
- University degree in a relevant field (e.g. environmental sciences or policy, sustainability, finance, business)
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines, working across various global functions
- Excellent research & analytical skills and ability to communicate clearly, accurately and succinctly (both written and verbally)
- Proficiency in Excel, large datasets and other third-party tools (ex: AI tools). Knowledge or experience with GIS mapping will be helpful
- Facility with preparing due diligence reports and power point presentations
