Who we’re looking for:

The use of ParentSquare products and services will be more widely available and used thanks in part to our strong partnerships. As our Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for partner relationship management for assigned partners (i.e. Organization Partners). This includes but is not limited to: establishing regular check-in meetings, proactively and strategically connecting our partners and their information with appropriate teams, assisting finance/accounting in partner reporting/billing processes, collaborating with marketing team for partner webinars and marketing collateral, coordinating the marketing of ParentSquare through partner channels, enabling sales with information needed to promote ParentSquare through the partner relationships. We currently have over 20 Organization Partners such as: KASB, WASSP, TALAS, KanSPRA with expected growth.


Most importantly, you’re someone who shares in our passion for improving the lives of students through communication. 


This role will include:
  • Partner Relationship Management
    • Align with the sales team leadership and regional account owners on which organizational partners to continue and to add.
    • Establishing regular check-in meetings with partners to promote collaborative engagement, ensure the use of ParentSquare is a good experience for them and their constituents, and identify strategic marketing opportunities. 
    • Manage all aspects of marketing outreach through these assigned partners; collaborate with the marketing team for partner webinars and marketing collateral, including creating marketing materials as part of this role
    • Track and monitor leads obtained through partner outreach activities and ensure they are assigned/followed up appropriately in our sales process. 
    • Enable sales with information needed to promote the partnership as a value add to new leads considering ParentSquare 
    • Assist finance/accounting in partner reporting/billing processes including verifying accuracy of partner product/service usage (where applicable)
  • Cross-team collaboration
    • Promote our ‘we win together’ value by being an active leader and participant in meetings / projects where collaborative work on partners would contribute to the success of the project
    • Research data (accelerated through AI) regarding funding and partnership opportunities and identify areas of growth opportunities in support of enabling sales and marketing through organizational partnerships. 
    • Collaborate with Customer Success teams to ensure expectations are set with the Partner on product usage, implementation, and ongoing data integration.
    • Create and maintain documentation to support smooth onboarding and ongoing support of the Organization Partners. 
  • Exploring potential new Organizational Partnerships
    • Work with the VP of Business Development, CMO, SVP of Customer Success (or designee) and SVP of Sales to identify partners for potential partnership opportunities
    • In collaboration with VP of Business Development, attend initial meetings with possible partner companies to provide them with technical requirements for partnering, and to scope out any work necessary on our end and present to the appropriate team (e.g. implementation, data, customer success, product) for approval. 
    • Ensure the use of ParentSquare is enhanced as a result of the potential partnership and not compromised. 
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Working knowledge of and experience in working with county offices and associations who serve the K12 community and understand how they support their constituent school districts. 
  • Project management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast moving dynamic environment
  • 3+ years of K12 EdTech experience (SaaS company or district experience) 
  • Experience with school communication tools, integration tools and/or SIS a plus
  • Excellent communication skill and attention to detail

The salary range for this role will be $76,000-$120,000 annually, DOE.
