We are seeking a high-impact Senior Business Development Manager to drive new enterprise revenue across the retail and omni-channel commerce sectors. This role focuses on selling integrated payment solutions that span in-store POS, eCommerce, mobile, and unified commerce platforms.

Because in-store journeys remain a core component of retail, deep knowledge of POS systems, hardware/software integrations, and store-level payment workflows is essential. The ideal candidate understands how payments move through the POS, the challenges merchants face at checkout, and how to position modern solutions that reduce friction and improve authorization rates.

Responsibilities

New Business Acquisition

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close for enterprise retail and omni-channel clients.
  • Build a territory plan focused on large retailers and quick service restaurants (QSRs) with complex in-store POS environments and multi-channel payment needs.
  • Maintain an active and measurable pipeline with accurate forecasting.

POS & Omni-Channel Solution Expertise

  • Lead consultative discussions with merchants on overall payments environment, including POS architecture, terminal providers, ISVs, middleware, gateways, payment devices, and store systems.
  • Understand and articulate how card-present and card-not-present transactions flow through the merchant’s ecosystem.
  • Advise clients on how POS upgrades, terminal certifications, EMV requirements, and omnichannel tokenization strategies impact store operations and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with solutions engineering teams to design seamless POS integrations, from API connectivity to certification testing and deployment.

Client Discovery

  • Conduct deep discovery to understand a retailer’s store operations, checkout processes, fraud challenges, and omnichannel roadmap.
  • Translate requirements into compelling commercial proposals for eCommerce, in-store, and unified payment solutions.

Commercial Strategy & Negotiation

  • Own commercial negotiations including pricing, implementation structure, and multi-year agreements.
  • Partner with Sales Ops, legal, product, and finance to structure deals that meet revenue, cost, and margin targets.

Internal Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide voice-of-customer insights on POS trends, retailer demands, and industry shifts to help shape the product roadmap.

Requirements
    • 6–10+ years of enterprise sales or business development experience in payments, POS and retail technology.
    • Strong understanding of POS ecosystems, including:
    • Terminal hardware & device vendors
    • POS software
    • Middleware and gateway solutions
    • Certification processes & store deployment cycles
    • Card-present transaction flows and compliance requirements
    • Demonstrated success selling into large retail organizations with complex in-store environments.
    • Ability to simplify technical POS concepts for senior non-technical stakeholders.
    • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and executive presentation skills.
    • Hands-on experience working with product, engineering, and implementation teams to close enterprise deals.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Existing relationships within Tier 1/Tier 2 retail and omni-channel merchant organizations.
    • Knowledge of unified commerce, omnichannel tokenization, payment orchestration, fraud tools, and alternative payment methods.
    • Familiarity with MEDDPICC or similar enterprise sales methodologies.
