As a Senior Consultant in R&D, you will help customers bring treatments to patients faster by transforming how they work with Technology, Data, and AI. You will focus on reshaping operating models, driving organizational change, and measuring tangible business value. R&D is a broad area that includes several distinct practices: Clinical Operations, Clinical Data Management, Regulatory, and Pharmacovigilance. You will focus in one of these practices based on your background, interests, and needs of the business. You will build credibility, depth, and relationships in that practice, but staffing will remain fungible across R&D and movement between practices is always permitted.
What You'll Do
- Project Leadership: Act as the Lead for small-scale projects, managing end-to-end design and delivery of high-quality customer solutions
- Team Management: Lead project teams of 2–3 consultants, developing your people leadership skills in a project setting
- Business Development: Drive practice growth by leading proposal development and identifying new opportunities within your engagements
- Strategic Problem Solving: Solve complex challenges for Life Sciences leaders by leveraging Veeva’s unique data, software, and AI insights
- Subject Matter Expertise: Support multiple projects across R&D while developing deep expertise in your specific practice
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in Life Sciences Consulting (Business or Management Consulting preferred)
- Domain Knowledge: Proven expertise in biopharma ClinOps, ClinData, Regulatory, Safety, or general R&D strategy
- Analytical Rigor: A strong mindset for both quantitative and qualitative reasoning
- Communication: Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to senior stakeholders
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher

- Experience delivering SaaS or Tech-enabled consulting solutions
The Process
- You submit your resume, short cover letter of questions, and take a personality assessment
- Within 5-10 business days, we will notify you via email if we would like to go to the next step or not
- The next step is a 45-minute interview with a leader of the practice, followed by a job history interview and case exercise. You will have one week to prepare for the case exercise
- Within one week after the case exercise, we will give you an offer or let you know that we do not wish to move forward

Compensation
- Base pay: $80,000 - $200,000
- The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
