Lead the development of business analytics at PushPress. Build dashboards, analyze data trends, provide insights, and support strategic decisions across departments.
About PushPress
PushPress is building the Intelligent Industry Ledger for boutique fitness.
We’re transforming how boutique gyms operate — and how the entire $100B fitness industry connects, transacts, and grows. Trusted by 5,000+ gyms and 500,000+ members, PushPress processes over $500M annually and is backed by Altos Ventures and Mucker Capital.
We're evolving from a traditional business system of record into an AI-powered Industry Ledger — an intelligent infrastructure layer that brings order to a highly fragmented boutique fitness industry. By unifying disconnected operators, workflows, and data into a single platform, we’re enabling faster decisions, new business models, cross-gym collaboration, and network effects that increase the value of every studio in our client base.
We’re a global team of builders, operators, and fitness fanatics on a mission to level the playing field for fitness entrepreneurs. If you're ready to help reshape an industry — let’s talk.
About the Role
As our founding Analytics Manager, you'll build our business analytics function from 0→1, transforming how PushPress and our 5,000+ fitness studios leverage data to drive growth. Reporting directly to the SVP of Finance & Operations, you'll own end-to-end analytics across the organization. This includes partnering with our data engineering team to define infrastructure needs, then translating customer behavior patterns into clear, actionable intelligence for stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations. Your work will directly influence product strategy, customer retention, and even how our customers make critical business decisions, having a front-row seat to trends in the fitness industry. While you'll start as an individual contributor building the foundation, this role offers a clear path to team leadership as we scale.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics tools that provide key business metrics and insights to stakeholders across all departments
- Partner with data engineering to design scalable data models and ensure data integrity, governance, and accessibility across our analytics infrastructure
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify growth opportunities, operational inefficiencies, and emerging fitness industry trends within our network
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership through data storytelling and actionable insights
- Develop predictive models and forecasting tools to optimize customer acquisition, retention, churn prevention, and revenue expansion strategies
Role Expectations
- 6+ years in analytics, business intelligence, or data science roles, with proven experience building analytics functions from 0→1
- Initially execute hands-on analytics work while building scalable processes that will enable future team growth
- Track record of working directly with executives and board members, translating complex analyses into strategic recommendations
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with Python/R for statistical analysis
- Expertise with BI tools (Tableau, Metabase, Looker, Power BI, or equivalent) and dashboard development
- Proven ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous environments while establishing scalable processes and best practices
Additional Competencies
- Track record of being a founding or early analytics hire who scaled the function as the company grew
- Intense curiosity and bias for action — you dig deep to understand the "why" behind metrics
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Deep understanding of SaaS metrics, unit economics, and growth analytics
- Experience in B2B SaaS, marketplaces, or fitness/wellness is a plus
