The Senior BI Manager leads the Quality BI team, translating clinical goals into technical strategies, developing insights, managing performance reporting, and mentoring team members, all to improve patient outcomes.
As a Senior Manager of Business Intelligence for the Quality zone, you will be a critical leader responsible for translating clinical and quality goals into a technical vision and execution strategy for your domain. You will lead the Quality BI team, a group dedicated to driving insights across our Quality ecosystem and ensuring accurate, actionable measurement of patient outcomes.
You will focus heavily on high-stakes performance areas, including MSSP Quality Reporting Measures, MA STARs quality results, and our "Data for Good" program, which targets the most impactful life-saving measures such as hypertension control and diabetes care. You will partner closely with senior leaders across the company—including the Quality organization, Clinical leadership, Product, and Technology—to drive key company results.
In this dynamic player-coach role, you will use your deep technical expertise to guide a team of BI professionals in building complex datasets, insightful data visualizations, and compelling data-driven narratives. You will oversee the reporting mechanisms that track performance against critical industry frameworks (e.g., NQF, eCQMs, HEDIS, MA STARs). You are responsible not only for managing project execution and the team's roadmap but also for developing your people, fostering a supportive and productive team environment, and championing operational excellence.
Primary Duties
- Drive Strategic Impact (25%): Act as a key strategic partner to senior leaders within the Quality and Clinical domains. Translate evolving regulatory and clinical needs into a clear technical roadmap, delivering analytics that measure MSSP and MA STARs performance, demonstrate clinical value, and drive patient health outcomes.

Foster a respectful and supportive environment where team members can grow, providing regular feedback, career mentorship, and opportunities for development.
- Champion Excellence & Collaboration (20%): Lead your team in agile processes, anticipating and mitigating roadblocks. Promote a "one team" mentality through cross-functional partnership, ensuring tight alignment with Payer & Network BI Zones to ensure Data for Good measures (e.g., diabetes care) are integrated into broader company performance views.
- Own the BI Vision & Roadmap (15%): Take full ownership of the BI roadmap and quarterly planning for the Quality domain. Work closely with key stakeholders on strategy, demand management, and prioritization to ensure the team is delivering the most valuable data products for regulatory reporting and clinical improvement.
- Deliver Actionable Insights (15%): Oversee the development of interactive dashboards, executive-level reports, and presentations that clearly communicate insights on Quality measurement, gap-closure opportunities, and the efficacy of clinical programs.
