Grypho5 is a “battalion” within Chattanooga, Tennessee-based Fenix24 — The World’s First Civilian Cybersecurity Force. Grypho5 specializes in comprehensive, security-based managed solutions using real-time, proprietary threat intelligence to ensure an organization's defenses are prepared to effectively resist and rapidly recover from a cyberattack.
About This Position
The Implementation Services Engineer IV role is a senior/technical lead, principally responsible for the deployment of Grypho5’s managed security solutions. This role reports to the Director of Implementation Services and is 100% remote with a potential requirement to travel to client locations when necessary and if applicable (subject to availability).
An ideal candidate will be able to:
- Lead technical design and architectural workshops
- Deploy and configure complex technical solutions using our internal specifications, documentation, and best practices, with minimal supervision
- Resolve implementation issues with a combination of skills, experience, vendor support, and internal consultations
- Maintain an exhaustive understanding of our products and solutions
- Create and maintain implementation documentation leveraging Conversant Group’s security standards
- Maintain a high degree of proficiency in the products and software to be implemented
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Conversant Group’s product and service solutions
- Provide mentoring and be a technical escalation for junior/mid-level engineers
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client-facing technical architecture and design workshops
- Implement complex technical security backup platform and application solutions with minimal supervision
- Resolve implementation-related technical issues
- Work closely with Project Managers on defining task details, timelines, status updates, and working within project scope
- Understand project scope definition, validation, and deployment of services
- Maintain an exhaustive understanding of the Technical Directives for Conversant Group product and service offerings
- Act as a SME for Conversant Group’s managed backup, storage, and application security solutions portfolio
- Assess and remediate (harden) backup, storage, and cloud storage technologies
- Assist the Managed Protection Team in handling client tickets and promoting problem solving when required
- Assist the Assessments Team on client technology shoulder surfing sessions when applicable
- Provide mentoring and be a technical escalation for team members
- Maintain select vendor technical certifications
- Provide client education for deployed solutions
- Collaborate with clients, partners, and vendors to aid in the successful deployment of security solutions
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in the design, configuration, implementation, and documentation of security solutions, with a strong focus within any technology area of data protection (backups), storage area networks, virtualization, and/or cloud storage (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills in relation to security-related products and services (Cohesity, HPE, Veeam, Rubrik, Pure, Nimble, Commvault, etc.)
- Demonstrated practical expertise in backup and disaster recovery
- Database backup experience (SQL and Oracle)
- API orchestration for backup job automation
- Strong experience transcribing complex installations into actionable and repeatable processes and standards
- Desire to learn and expand knowledge of Conversant Group’s portfolio of product and service offerings in relation to the implementation of managed security solutions
- Team-oriented, with a “can do” attitude and a willingness to help and ask for help when necessary
- Shares ideas and knowledge in collaboration with peers
- Communicates effectively in any form or medium
- Ability to manage competitive priorities, including organizing complex technical tasks for multiple clients at once
- Well versed in IT and managed services best practices, including experience with practical application of InfoSec principles
Qualifications
- 7+ years of managed services support engineering and/or architectural design and implementation services engineering
- 7+ years of security product experience implementing and supporting on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based security solutions such as Cohesity, HPE, Pure, Microsoft Azure, AWS, and VMWare
- Service delivery in a managed services/professional services organization highly desired
- Working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft and VMWare platforms desired
- Industry certifications in Cohesity, HPE, Microsoft, and VMware highly desired
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field, or an equivalent work history
- Experience working for and within IT for the legal industry is a plus
