Job Summary

We are seeking a high-performing Senior Backend Engineer to join a core product team building the high-throughput engine behind real-time ticket distribution and pricing. In this role, you will design and maintain resilient backend services operating under heavy concurrency where market conditions shift dynamically in seconds. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in event-driven architecture, end-to-end operational ownership, and a data-driven approach to architectural decisions while collaborating directly with US engineering leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain high-throughput backend services and public-facing REST APIs on a multi-tenant platform with end-to-end ownership.

  • Embed deep observability into all design phases using structured logging, time-series metrics, data capture, and proactive Grafana and PagerDuty alerting.

  • Lead code reviews, champion resilient architectural patterns, and continuously optimize database schema design and system reliability.

  • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to translate complex business requirements into scalable, fault-tolerant technical designs.

  • Identify systemic technical gaps, codify engineering standards, and mentor team members across various experience levels.

  • Support production services post-release, taking an active role in incident response and alert threshold tuning.

Qualifications and Job Requirements
  • 5+ years of backend software engineering experience building scalable, enterprise-grade systems.

  • Deep proficiency in C# and .NET 8+.

  • Strong relational database expertise using SQL Server, T-SQL, schema design, and query optimization.

  • Proven end-to-end ownership of production environments, including telemetry, automated testing, regression analytics, and post-release support.

  • Hands-on experience with multi-tenant, event-driven architecture and async messaging patterns such as pub/sub and CQRS.

  • Demonstrated experience deploying and operating services on cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP accepted).

  • Advanced English communication skills with experience collaborating directly with US stakeholders.

  • Experience with Azure Service Bus, App Insights, and Log Analytics / KQL is preferred.

  • Familiarity with setting up Grafana dashboards, PagerDuty incident management, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

  • Prior exposure to high-frequency data processing, real-time marketplaces, fintech, or pricing engines is preferred.

  • Experience utilizing AI tooling within engineering workflows for infrastructure and deployment automation is preferred.

  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotations is a plus.
