About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing data platform team. In this role, you’ll architect and build scalable, high-performance backend systems that power advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement cloud-native backend services for large-scale data processing and analytics

  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to turn complex business needs into elegant technical solutions

  • Build and optimize **data models** and pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability

  • Drive **cost-efficient** and **secure** use of cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS)

What We’re Looking For (Must have)

  • 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer, ideally in data-intensive environments

  • Strong proficiency in Python (preferred), with additional experience in Java or Scala a plus

  • Deep experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP, and its data ecosystem (e.g., ECS, Fargate, S3, Redshift, Lambda)

  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to mentor others

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • Experience working with streaming data, event-driven architectures, or real-time analytics

  • Hands-on experience with big data frameworks (e.g., Dask, Spark, Hadoop)

  • Exposure to machine learning workflows, data science tools, or BI platforms

  • Contributions to open-source projects or technical blogs
